This is what happens when emotion rules over thought. Propaganda from the MSM and leftists then create emotional responses in these people, and they are never challenged. It doesnt speak well for the country at all.

      “...they are never challenged.”
That’s because the left provides these students with safe spaces from ideas.

I am thinking that propaganda appeals to emotion, and its effective if a person is susceptible to acting on emotion rather than thought. I think that the decision to let emotion rule is one that is made when very young, and once made, is VERY hard to reverse.

If one is accustomed to thinking from an early age, then I think being exposed to Ayn Rand's works is very helpful. If your life is based on emotion, I think Ayn Rand would be jut dismisssed as "uncaring" and ignored.

It's not just hard to reverse; it's nearly impossible. Thinking vs. Feeling are Jungian/Myers-Briggs functions; one or the other defines how one prefers to make decisions. This is, in my extensive experience, genetic, at least as to preference. Preference is somewhat like handedness; we prefer one hand over the other, depending on task. Ayn Rand, and most libertarians, are Thinkers.

I did a Myers-Briggs study more than two decades ago of libertarians running for office as libertarians. 90% scored Thinker. And this explains not only how we tend to vote, but also the differences among the two genders (yes, any leftists who are lurking: there are only two). Two-thirds of men are T, one-third F; two-thirds of women are F, one-third T. Which explains everything you need to know in the book, Men are From Mars; Women are From Venus.

This has a definite ring of truth to it. I have been thinking the same thing, that whatever leads people to collectivism starts when VERY young, maybe indeed at birth.

It seemed that there is something driving people to collectivism over the ages, and it appears to be an overly strong reliance on emotion as opposed to thinking. When discussing issues with liberals, they are uninterested in reason, and always divert the discussion to emotional issues.

I have felt that this problem seemed to doom the USA, and is responsible for the relative failure of Atlas Shrugged to move the needle towards Individualism. Its a bit depressing actually, as it would indicate that there isnt much hope for the USA.

I voted for Trump because I figured he would slow down the drive towards socialism. And he has to the degree that the establishment will LET him.

Would you think then that its some sort of genetic thing that controls the relative strength of emotions and thinking? That with some people, they just experience emotions as so strong as to preclude reliance on reason? In those people, it perhaps matters little the parental emphasis on thinking shown during their early years.

Something is up, since so many people just gravitate to socialism.

I believe it is the word . From what I witness , the sheeple have no clue as to what it means. With a steady brain washing from 90% of all media and entertainment industries reinforcing the educational brainwashing. These minions are discouraged from thinking for themselves. They are like Pavlov’s dogs .

Maybe the genetically driven strength of emotions in some people make them more susceptible to the emotionally based propaganda that MSM feeds them. Like showing food to a hungry person elicits a bigger physical reaction than showing the food to someone who has just esten

I think it's purely genetic as to initial predisposition. While this can be unlearned, it's rare and I imagine difficult. I do know a few Feelers who are libertarians, but I think (it's been a long time since I asked them) they had Thinker parents, who heavily influenced them.

The gender-confused thing got one thing partially right: it's a sexist world - just not in the way she has been brainwashed to feel. The media and education system is being run by irrational feminists and their conspirators (who have unsupportable irrational opinions like the speaker) with the goal to oppress white men, who are the most productive minority in existence.

Makes me realize that we are trying to teach calculus to cockroaches. They have no understanding of value, objective analysis, rational thinking or conclusions for action. Makes me wish I wasn't people.

Dilbert's creator Scott Adams, who leans libertarian, has I think given the single best descriptor and symptoms of cognitive dissonance I've seen. He writes on the subject extensively, but this is the best. http://blog.dilbert.com/2015/09/03/th...

Interesting. He wrote this in 2015, predicting a possible fundamental change in the way many will think. If those individuals start actually thinking, they may walkaway from their collectivist masters.
“You think the Trump spectacle is about politics, or money, or the usual media circus. And perhaps it is. But if he wins, it could mark a fundamental change in how humans view their place in the world. Once you see yourself as a Moist Robot, subject to programming by Master Wizards and prophets, you can never unsee it.”

That too, Solver. He predicted a Trump win as early as December 2015 as well. Scott's work in persuasion, cognitive dissonance and likely several other subjects is unparalleled. I only wish he's start writing his blog again rather than Periscoping it into interminably long diatribes as we patiently (?) wait for him to get to his point.

In the “slightly offensive” video the Questioner
Asked “are you , a young college girl who has eyes and can see? “ Yes. “You have no problem with me saying I’m a black female lesbian?”
No. “ What if I said I was a bike.?”

Eventually, Hillary Rotdam Clinton will win her entitled throne and shall win the Nobel Prize after blowing up that big bully Creamsickle's Great Wall with an explosive hammer.
All that matters then is that everyone will be happy.
I'm a happy transgender because I want to be an allosaur even though I'm a lesbian in a man's body.
As for the sex I was born with, it really doesn't matter even if I'm stuck with it anyway.
I can go into any restroom I want just like anyone should vote at any place they want all over the country without making any Africans in America feel bad for making them show an ID. That's not who we are.
Yes, everyone inside this country should vote and join ISIS if they want to because this is a free country where I want to vote for that cool-looking Che dude on T-shirts.
Oh, Che is dead? Well, then I want to vote for Madonna because she would blow up the White House with an explosive hammer to win a Nobel Prize.

I thought of the Norse god Thor , when the
Mexican dude wanted to use a hammer on the wall. Isn’t he appropriating the Viking culture?
In eleven days we will know what direction the country is going. Go crimson wave ....wvwv$wvv..

For sure, and some of them VOTE, OMG! Actually, several years ago I saw the grade schools trying to create cognitive dissonance. Then the brainwashing began for real. As parents, we faced the Dephi Technique, which is a stronger way of using it, crated by the Rand Inst. for warfare years ago. We have to be ever alert, lest we get sucked in. If these college kids are the future, we'd better head for the Gulch! Even in Scandinavia, they they do not believe in science as it a;;oles to males and female roles. Common sense is being erased, truth is being subverted, reality no longer matters.

    Jesus!

This is the mob that demonstrates on the streets, dancing to the tune of the left, while having the slightest idea of what they are doing. Some don't even know what year we are in.

It suits the left well. The 14,000 migrants approaching the US border would be a nice addition to this contingent.

It used to be that the left prided itself being the "enlightened and smart" party.

What do they think of this mess? I know: the messier the better for them. These sheep are easy to manipulate.

I thnk the leftists are DESPERATE, and taking actions that arent thought through. Seeing pictures of mobs of illegal immigrants about to storm the gates of our country just energized a lot of people to say ENOUGH to the illegal immigration. I dont think they will get to the US border in time for us to see sick young children being refused admission to the USA before the election, but I can tell you that the picture of those violent immigrants storming the border of mexico stuck in my mind as I voted on the 20th.

The goat within the pentagram was first used by Eliphas Levi with his Samael and Lilith pentagram. Within this symbol, found in the book, “History of Magic”, the Hebrew letters surrounding the pentagram spelled out the name of Leviathan. The purpose of this illustration was to show an unholy union between Samael, who was the Jewish angel of Death, and of Lilith, who was the Queen of Demons.

Later, similar versions of the goat contained within a pentagram was created by Oswald Wirth and his book on Masonry4. His same image was borrowed by Maurice Bessy for the cover of his book “A Pictorial History of Magic and the Supernatural”.

The Maurice Bessy Pentagram was then borrowed by Anton Lavey for use in promotional photographs for the Church of Satan in the early years5. Later on it was redesigned and trademarked to suit the Churches aesthetic needs6. But, by then the symbol of the goat and the inverted pentagram had become part of Satanism in general.

Is this the religion the one world collectivist schemers want all to believe?

It would be easier to believe that religion was real if there wasn’t so many of them claiming that their religion is the only one true region.

But free choice of religion is infinitely better than no choice.

I have thought for awhile of making a web site that offers the ability to make your own religion, with dogma, bishops, contributions, and all the emotional things religions offer- but without the need to stick to currently established religions.

Your church, Your way, Right now. Choose your own dogmas, rule to live by, commandments, sins, absolution schemes, etc. But leave out the stupid things that most religions have accepted over the years.

Freedom of religion should mean that you can establish what you want to 'believe' as fact. Given that facts dont mean anything in this culture anyway, the only thing left is beliefs.

Let the most popular free market religion get the most "converts" and contributions.

It was a thought anyway from a former Catholic that couldnt believe all the nonsense that was included in that religion in spite of making NO sense at all.
