She gave a reasoned, sane, researched and factually backed speech for which she deserves the highest compliments! It was good to know that the spirit is still alive in the Senate.

BTW, anyone has the transcripts?

With Ryan and Jake the Flake soon to be gone and McCain resting but still butt hurt it was good to see Collins, McTurtle and Graham stand up for a change. Murkowski has 4 years remaining before we can pink slip her turncoat ass.
Now more than ever it is time we all step up and support the republicans at the ballots. Democrats have been and should continue to remain on the defensive through the next few election cycles and be relegated into obscurity. The more pissed they get the more destructive they become to themselves. How fitting is Susan Collins' quote and the left should be listening, “We must always remember that when passions are most inflamed that fairness is most in jeopardy.”

My best friend from college (many years ago) is also a friend of Susan Collins. He and I were some of the few Republicans on a Democrat campus, so I was surprised at the friendship. He does not say or offer much about this debacle, particularly as far as Senator Collins goes, but he has said enough to let me know that the whole situation has distressed her and many around her. The speech, now that I have had a chance to review it, is extraordinary, and now I know why they are friends. It has reassured me that all is not lost - yet.

People who lack the lib mental disorder are getting fed up with their piled on slander attacks.
May the soon to come voting sharply reflect that.

    Yes. We know the quote.

Fact remains that for the left it is not "passion for reason".

For them it is unbridled terror and lawlessness to achieve their communist agenda for which Hussein Obama worked for 8 long years.

It was one of the best speeches me dino has heard.
Shortly thereafter I also heard she's getting death threats and I've seen wacko demonstrators waving insulting signs with her name on it.
One sign said, "F*** Susan Collins." What a classy bunch.

I am certain I have never heard a better prepared speech, so heartfelt, so informative, come out of the Senate or the House. That lady did her homework and spoke from personal feelings also.
    Hooray for her!

    Thank you Solver.

I did not expect her to come around but it appears she has had enough, not surprisingly. The extent the left was prepared to go in destructing Kavanaugh surpassed imagination.

Having said that, this is by no means over. With Booker and Harris on the left, the terror will increase to ISIS levels.

We also must recognize an important turning point: the GOP learned to fight, thanks to president Trump. This was the first time in a long period that the GOP did not cave in when challenged. We have gotten used to them being spineless. But as the Kavanaugh saga unfolded, we saw Senator Grassley confront blackmail, Senator Graham lash out at the left, then Senator Collins coming to her senses.

That is a very good sign and the reason the left is out of its mind in panic.

    Continue the good fight, GOP!

...And by inciting that moment of raging emotions, leftists will strike their hardest to take what they want, not letting their prime opportunity to gain something unfairly go to waste.
