Obama's "solution" to the recession was to throw lots of government money at the problem, deepening the national debt to nearly the tipping point of unrecoverability. When most the resources went to keep government, which generates no revenue, growing, he was amazed that the economy grew at such a pathetic pace. That there was any growth at all was thanks to the ingenuity of the oil and gas producers, who managed to generate substantial wealth in spite of Obama's actions trying to destroy them in the name of climate change.

This same clown, who had told everyone that a less than 2% GDP growth and stagnant wages was the "new normal," and that manufacturing jobs weren't coming back, now has the gall to claim that the more than 4% growth and over 300,000 manufacturing jobs are all due to his actions. The polls are pointing to Democrat victory in the 2018 elections, just like they did for 2016. Notice how that turned out.
