“Pocahontas” and her alleged Native American heritage, (a worthless DNA test)

"But as it turned out, the Globe issued a correction updating the results to show Warren’s Native American ancestry is actually 1/1024."

No reliable Cherokee DNA markers: here is why: https://www.accessgenealogy.com/nativ...

It's a lengthy read. Basically, there is way too much mixing of DNA, nothing specifically Cherokee, in fact, they share more with the Jews but DNA tests, for the many tribes in North America have strong similarities with tribes in Mexico, Central America and South America; so Pocahontas is probably no more indian than you or I. The Cherokee were "Slave Raiders" and plundered many tribes and are probably more mixed than other North America Tribes.

This whole story has spun off into Insanity Land. Who in the hell would do this?...point to a test with such a low level of Cherokee-type genetics and then call the President racist for every doubting her claims that she's Cherokee? What in the hell is wrong with this woman? She's clearly deranged, or has the mental capacity of a 4-year old. I heard a commentator going over this story while driving home from work yesterday and I started laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. This, my Objectivist friends, passes for normal, sound reasoning and behavior in America today. People are even piling on her bandwagon, trying to say this is an example of Trump's derangement, not hers.

    It's over folks.

Imagine during a job interview someone claimed that they were an A student, because one time in one class they got an “A.”

Not presidential material, unless they can fool a vast majority of the population to believe them. Then it’s a top rate Democratic candidate.

Dont worry. She will never even make it past a primary. She might not even make it to stay as Senator (I hope). She is an evil witch with evil in her heart, and its obvious after taking ONE look at her. The voters arent so stupid as to vote for her as president.

Well, I hope you're right. But considering what the American voters did in 2008 and 2012; and what they did in 1936, 1940, and 1944...

But in 2016, the deplorables were fed up with thinly veiled dishonesty and propaganda. Warren is deep down a very evil witch and it’s showing thru like it did with Hillary. I am thinking she is through

The woman is seriously off if she thinks she os corroborating he previous claim to be a recent descendant of native Americans. It's just too funny and good for us conservatives. Making Trump look good, that's what I'd call it!!

She does kind of look like a chimp...laughing.

However, we share a lot of DNA with many creatures on the earth, that part of the DNA is found in the clay's and dirt of earth; Recently it was discovered that those components of DNA can be found in the Cosmic winds...so it's really no big surprise but still...doesn't mean we are related...as can be observed with Pocahontas...no relative of mine!...LMAO

I have 100 times more more Native american than she does..01%
Also Mongolian who came over by land bridge. But they only measure South american not Native Tribes. North American natives don't sign up for 23 and Me. I guess.

This proves Warren is guilty of extreme "cultural appropriation." I have more North African blood than she does Indian. That's a result of my "black Irish" inheritance of Galway ancestors who intermarried with survivors of the Spanish Armada, who had a trace of Moorish blood in their veins, but I don't go around telling everyone I'm related to Muhammad.

I've been a scoutmaster, so you betcha. What's funny is that while Warren's family legend proved to be very wrong, I always laughed at my father's insistence on us being black Irish, especially when my ancestry searches revealed that we arrived in America in 1690, which I thought was too far back for family tales to be credible. It was a shock when my DNA analysis revealed that he was right ( I wish I could have told him he was right, but he was gone by the time I discovered this), with a small percentage of Spanish blood, and a trace of North African inheritance. Family legend is sometimes true, but not in Warren's case.

My Fathers side came to Boston in the late 1890s from Sweden...my mothers side claim decedents of President Taft through his son's marriage to the daughter of Webster...My mother was a drunk...and although I would be honored to be related to Daniel Webster...I would be embarrassed to be related to Taft, a dummy and decedent of the Black [ig]nobility of Venice.

    I came across this reference:

In 1984, she contributed five recipes to a Native American cookbook entitled “Pow Wow Chow: A Collection of Recipes From Families of the Five Civilized Tribes: Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek, and Seminole.”

I find it strange to name the five tribes as "civilized". What does that mean? That the rest of Indian tribes were uncivilized? Coming from Warren, isn't that racist?

Living in Oklahoma, I can tell you what the "civilized tribes" moniker is about. Those five tribes here were made up of the Amerindians that voluntarily moved to the Indian Territory (now Oklahoma) when the government demanded they leave Georgia and the Carolinas after gold was found there. Those that resisted the move were considered "savages" and were forcibly moved on foot from holding camps in Tennessee to Indian Territory, with 4,000 of them losing their lives on "The Trail of Tears."

      Laughing...she is!
Don't know about the other tribes by the Cherokee are described as Raiders,Slave holders, killed the men and enslaved the women and children...they interbred and that is one of the reasons why it's hard to pin down a unique DNA among them.

There's some who question the legitimacy of Seminoles to go by that name, since they were originally Creek invaders who committed genocide on the original Florida tribes (archaeological evidence supports this) and appropriated their land not much before the Spanish arrived.

This is what the leftist deranged creatures fail to ask...from whom did the North American Indians take their territory from...and they before them.

The Comanche did not give themselves that name. It's Hopi for "those who attack us." They were fierce horse warriors, and the American equivalent of the Mongol hordes, raiding and destroying other tribes.

When my wife and I had DNA tests, we were surprised with one result, that we were 2.3 and 2.7% Neanderthal (a Caucasian real and Ted Kennedy imagined trait). So my guess is Liz Warren is more Neanderthal than American Indian.
In an opinion piece this morning, the theory on Warren's disclosure was it puts the whole matter behind her so that in 2020 she can respond to critics that it is "old news."

I have 252 SNP's that are Neanderthal (I'm a bit less than average), Warren has 5 SNP's that are (sort of Indian), that makes me 50 times more Neanderthal than she is Indian.

The whole study is bogus, the guy producing the paper has some very small subsets of gross population groups.

Interesting point: Neanderthal existed after the flood. In archeological digs in Israel they found Neanderthal remains buried with humans.

I have always asserted that Man/Humans were a totally different species on our own and did not evolve from any other upright walking creature.

Humans are a different species than other Homonids. Species is determined by genetics not environment. No matter how many environmental changes happened No species ever evolved into another (Macro evolution) . They adapted, what in today's NewSpeak is called micro evolution because Scientist can't shake of the Darwinian dogma.
. Only when the Genetic code that controls embryonic formation changes do new species arise. And they never arise by slow evolution.

However humans and Neanderthal .could and did interbreed. Hence the Neanderthal SNPs. .
Since the Neander valley is in Germany one could say it was due to the legendary quality of German Engineering. lol

          That's funny.
Canaan was occupied by Neanderthals and Nephilim, they were very sick due to continued inbreeding...

In my work I muse that perhaps, the Global delete ruleless class of the Great Unwashed are descendants of the Nephilim...no conscience, not conscious, not human in the same sense as the rest of us. (no big pose here, they themselves claim this to be so)...quite worrisome.

I don't know that Neanderthals were still around for Cannan. Interbreeding with humans probably took place in the early stages when there wasn't a large human population. Perhaps the Neanderthals nurtured the skinny hairless humans. Who knows. But definitely we have the Neanderthal SNPs from interbreeding and not evolution.

Last year archeological news from Israel reported the story of Neanderthal skeletons being found with human skeletons...the area would of been Canaan.

The Jews were supposed to wipe out everyone in Canaan but they instead took them as servants.

I did the national geographic genographic project a few years ago and found on my paternal side a 2% genetic marker most associated with Australian aborigines and every time look in mirror I really do not see it . LOL

“Denisovan” after the cave where the pinkie bone was found. The Denisovan genome also suggests the young girl had brown hair, eyes, and skin.

Surprisingly, the scientists found genetic overlap between the Denisovan genome and that of some present-day east Asians, and, in particular, a group of Pacific Islanders living in Papua New Guinea, known as the Melanesians. It appears the Denisovans contributed between 3 to 5 percent of their genetic material to the genomes of Melanesians. Scientists think that the most likely explanation is that Denisovans living in eastern Eurasia interbred with the modern human ancestors of Melanesians. When those humans crossed the ocean to reach Papua New Guinea around 45,000 years ago, they brought their Denisovan DNA over with them.

If this genetic mixing did occur, the fact that Denisovans were discovered in Siberia but contributed to the genomes of modern humans living in Southeast Asia suggests the species ranged widely across Asia, although their low genetic diversity also indicates their numbers were never very high.
