I agree that China will soon surpass US economically, but at what cost and is it sustainable? If the US population was 4 times as large as it is now with all else the same, China would be 1/4 the size of the US Economy Our GDP/Person is the highest in the world. China is not even close to theUS in that measure.
The article expounds on how the Chinese have done this. Consolidating power and decision making into President Xi hands is most often mentioned. Give any dictator an industrious population and technology obtained by any means necessary (internal development of stolen externally and a well train scientific base (trained mostly by your nearest competitor and then brought home) and I'll show you a country that is on the path to economic supremacy in its local area if not the world.
Given all that China has stolen and other wise appropriated and what it has developed on its own, the resulting growth is not surprising.
Can the USA regain it dominant position. Of course. Start making good decisions about monetary policy, trade and foreign entanglements and you will see even more groth than is currently being experienc4ed.

This article is long on rhetoric and short on sound economics. The closest it comes is to cite the US government $1 trillion budget deficit. By comparison, China's is massive compared to this. And the article doesn't mention how the size of the economy is measured, GDP? The old Keynesian canard? Certainly they are an economic culture of thieves, and America's global elitists are willing accomplices under the guise of reforming their ideology through their freer markets blather, but this piece seems to be cheap fodder for their audience.

I concur. Long article with a lot generalities.

Interesting topic on how they have grown so much over recent history - it is much easier starting from a dreadfully low per person starting point.
