As the article says, there’s no such thing as “the economy”. The economy is just hordes of people serving one another in mutual trades.

We sometimes association the word “serve” with slavery, but this is the opposite. This is people thinking of creative ways to help one another because each participant gains.

The stuff about social justice distracts from the point. Who the heck are these people? The old ladies on the social justice committee at my Unitarian society? It’s as if the author thinks the reader needs some nebulous Emmanuel Goldstein figure to hate. This imaginary figure distracts from the point. “The economy” feels magical people doing work and making honest trades produce amazing value, so much so some people wrongly think of it as magical or as centrally-directed system.

"The market order has nothing to do with “solidarity” or “unity” and is, in fact, irreconcilable with these concepts in the sense of the pursuit of common goals. The two greatest threats to the market order are nationalism and socialism, collectivist arrangements which enforce a common goal or set of goals on all participants."
