This article about gun control has some interesting perspective on trends in reguards to gun control. I found the trend (from Gallup poll) interesting concerning assault weapons ban particularly interesting as based on this the public is moving in the direction of gun rights rather than away from it; this surprised me.

No thanks. I'll keep my mil-spec stainless .45 by Springfield. It rides nice in my Uncle Mikes Pro-Pak vertical shoulder holster too.

Here, the pokeys, (Buick and Camry drivers), look Ma, non-PC, I digress, they drive the speed limits, but tailgate, and forget about stopping at a stop sign!

:) It's also damn near impossible to carry your cop in a concealed fashion! 'Hey pal, what's that huge lump under your jacket with the feet hanging out the back?'

Exactly! Also, I'd have to buy extra doughnuts and meals when I eat out. That gets expensive, plus the cop gets heavier!

The gun never sleeps either. Just try to wake up your cop after he has been lugged around for 72 hours. Something tells me he may have trouble staying on target after not sleeping that long. :)

Although voting machines and paper ballots can be rigged, the one thing that cannot be rigged is when people vote with their DOLLARS.

Clearly, Americans are NOT in favor of gun control, unless it's about keeping on target at the range.

You know why I carry a gun? Because a cop is too heavy.
