Newspapers in Nazi Germany
In looking for some references of the use of propaganda to persuade a society of a specific point (as we see going on today with the Kavanaugh debacle), I found this tid bit. I don't have the background to fact check all of it, but what I do know is it seems like a good review of just how the primary media of the day was controlled and used to present whatever it was the people in the state wanted the masses to think. Of course this was also true of all the countries, even the U.S. "free press" was pretty controlled and fed news, but some journalists actually went to the field and reported, though censored. But it is a good run through of how you use the media, and how you use the tools to make a society believe what you want, and some of the rules they followed. "The receptivity of the great masses is very limited, their intelligence is small, but their power of forgetting is enormous. In consequence of these facts, all effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points and must harp on these slogans until the last member of the public understands what you want him to understand by your slogan.” Hmmm, so factually, Trump is in a better position with MAGA, and Q is also following this with WWG1WGA (not saying good or bad people use this exclusively, noting that the Trump side seems to have better lessons learned, as the only thing deep state has is the Nike Just Do It).
Hannity (8pm CT M-F) who nightly brings on investigative journalist Sara Carter with dirt on the Mueller Witch Hunt is great. (He's also on my local radio late afternoon right now). Save for at times showing clips and video collages of libs making fools of themselves, Hannity rarely does "fair and balanced" verbal dances with those conniving clowns.
Tucker (7pm CT M-F) does way to much of that. Does Tucker not know that pain hurts?
well f*** them if they can't stand the truth.
That's why it wasn't Wesley Mouch et. al. that Galt was fighting. It was Hank and Dagney. They're the ones prolonging the agony, allowing the avowed killers to hold mankind a hostage. Take a lesson from Roark: It isn't worth it. Blow it up.
If Trump were anything like an Ayn Rand hero, he would never have tried to beat the looters at a game where they set the philosophic terms, the cultural rot at the core spreading ever outward (and inward if you're honest). Trump would lead a general strike.
But Trump is the enemy of any would-be Galt. Think you Snowden would stand a chance if Trump's administration got a hold of him? That's why I insist there is no fundamental difference between Mr. Trump and Mr. Thompson: they're both "deal-makers" (and that's all they are).
Never interrupt an enemy when he is making a mistake.
So in effect, Soros already owns Fox, and Sky and the WSJ as well.
I think it is good to have competition. But , do you think Trump would act the same if he could censor anti-Trump news?
I was surprised to see the fake news challenge the
Second Kavanaugh accusers charge. If they the NYTimes start to practice journalism we will all be better off.
I've visited Santa Fe a few times, and would be interested in what it's like to live there. I'm also 75.
