Here's what any reasonable person would have asked:
1) Where was this party where the alleged event took place? (She magically remembered only yesterday...)
2) How old were you when this alleged event took place? (She claims she was 15, but only remembered yesterday...)
3) Who else was at the event? (The other five people she claimed were there all deny any knowledge of such an event.)
4) Who else knew you were at this event? (Parents, friends, teachers, etc. - she can't name anyone)
5) How far away from your home was this event? (6-8 miles is the figure)
5) Given your admission that you did not have a license and did not drive yourself, how did you arrive at the event in question? (She has no idea)
6) Given your admission that you did not have a license and did not drive yourself home, how did you get home? (She has no idea)
7) Who took you back to your home? (That individual would be a credible material witness to time, date, and place and could testify as to mental state of Ms. Ford at the time. Remember, her claim was that she ran out of the party emotionally traumatized and immediately left. Whomever took her home at that point could either confirm or deny Ms Ford's state of mind.
8) Ms. Ford, is it true that you are an activist on behalf of the Democratic Party? (Yes, she is.)
And after Ms. Ford failed to answer any of those questions, I would simply say the following:
"Ms. Ford, in light of the lack of ANY substance to your testimony and the prior refutation of any of these events by the very people you claim to have participated, I find your story to be a complete and utter fabrication of the most heinous kind. So my next question is very simple: who put you up to this? Why are you really here?"
Actually, I think answering all those questions in a hearing format was stupid. It had nothing to do with the real issue- and that is how Kavanaugh would do as a SC judge. What he did 36 years ago isnt very relevant at all, and couldnt be proven at this point anyway.
I agree she was worthless .Your questions would have been much more revealing then the handholding. The optics did not hurt too much though, as it might have looked heavy handed to be too tough on Ford.
Unfortunately Rachel Mitchell was a very poor choice as a prosecutor in place of Republican Senators. Thank God some Senators took back the stage later. Mitchell was tiptoeing around facts and never made a significant dent in Ford's lies. She was clearly out of water like a duck.
9. Is it possible that a you, a young teenage girl, wanted to kiss a teenage boy at a party and went upstairs to do so. Yet another boy followed and ruined everything. When the one boy tried to kiss you anyway and the other boy kept jumping on the both of you, you really wanted to get out of there. Not a romantic first kiss but rather two minutes of stupidity.
Yet, the two immature young boys just thought the whole thing was stupid funny and therefore don't remember it 35 years later. You testified that they were laughing the whole time.

I have thought a lot about the horrible disservice to abused women every where. To bring up unsubstantiated claims of abuse to such a public forum is a slap in the face to women who have been terrorized and raped. Like Keith Ellison's ex girl friend or Eric Schniedermans girlfriend who called her his #metoo slave. Or the sex slave branded women of NXIVM who Senator Kristen Gillibrand's father lobbied for. Or the countless other true victims.
That could very well cause a mix up in past memories, especially 35 year old memories.
