"The House on Thursday approved a non-binding resolution insisting the Justice Department comply with committee subpoenas for documents related to the Russia investigation by July 6."
Asking and not receiving the documents for over a year is not compliance in any way shape or form. Rosenstein should be facing empeachment now not after 6 July.

Yes, it shows either how arrogant he was, or how uninformed as to how to submit a request. It was dated well before the granted FISA, had an official number, and was exactly as stated. He was denied, and informed that it had to be the proper format and could not target Trump. I did not pay too much attention at the time, but after the whole dossier came to light, it made sense. He had instructed his people to make it happen and choose someone withing Trump range, using the form required.

What good does a "non-binding resolution' do? This type of resolution is often used to express the body's approval or disapproval of something that they cannot otherwise vote on,[1] due to the matter being handled by another jurisdiction, or being protected by a constitution. It carries no legal weight, but is adopted for moral support. It's nothing more than a photo op. A tempest in a teapot.I solves nothing.

We already know they are, but I guess they think black and white hidden will make it all go away. There is so much that they are still glossing over, like Obama's one page request to spy on Trump, dated prior to the later FISA. It was refused for being in wrong form and no back up info. Obama thought he could just ask and get. So, then the "do whatever you have to" command kicked in and the phony dossier became the backup.

I think that Rosenstein is not complying, because if he does it will show what a bunch of immoral, underhanded, lying, scoundrels that, in reality, they all are. .

Why exactly has Trump not just demanded immediate release. What is the deal there?

Just listening to Rosenstein was enough to set my blood boiling. He was trying to play both sides of the "I'm the chief of this bureau but I'm not responsible" game, and I applaud Rep Jordan for holding his feet to the fire. I sincerely hope they do vote to impeach him, because as the head he certainly COULD make the information available.

My understanding is this is a procedural step taken to prep for contempt or impeachment votes. In that regard, in and of itself it has no teeth, but as part of the removal process, it has teeth.
Anyone have a better grasp of House procedures?

Just exactly how much teeth does "non-binding" imply? Will the house heroes go running for their safe space on July 6 when the JustUs department throws them another middle finger?

He does remind me of some pictures of H Himmler. It is more the expression of "I fooled you again" than any real resemblance.
