I'm guessing that after the father had his kid robbed by the thug by knife-point, he was suppose to passively call the police; then they would deal with it when they found the time.
“Grant pleaded guilty to culpable homicide yesterday at the High Court in Glasgow after prosecutors reduced his murder charge. In a statement to the court, Grant said, “I wish to declare for the record that at the time of this incident, I was acting in self-defense.”
Was a reason he plead guilty because, “His three sons, ages 20, 17 and 16 were also charged with murder.” The article doesn't explain why his sons were charged for anything.
My initial reaction was that this wasn't a rational and proportional use of retaliatory force, but given that they thug then lunged at the father - well, good riddance. Too bad the stupid prosecutor is such a moron and has charged him. In the past, he would have been given a commendation.
