khalling came up with a good idea that I think is worth expanding on. Let's see what great ideas we can come up with for a board game that follows Atlas Shrugged's theme and principals. (Is Shrugged's a word?? It's pretty hard to pronounce.)
So please contribute your ideas, for questions/tasks/etc that a player would have to answer or accomplish correctly to move forward in the game. C'mon, it'll be fun! We ARE allowed to have fun in the Gulch!

no one is bringing lawyers into the game unless they want to play it. I just don't want it to be Candyland.

No. I want to keep lawyers out of it! When it's simple, they hate it. Why do you think they want to "radically" change the Constitution? Because it's not 2,800 pages of nonsense.

The "banker"?...I thought this wasn't Monopoly? (OR Harry Potter). We could have categories of cards...Who is John Galt?....Bring guns!.... What is the root of money?.... Reason vs. Emotion........... A=A....

various securities. guns, safe, insurance, alarm systems-neighborhood watch-I think protections of the private variety demonstrate the value of what your holding/growing.

You're on the $$ about protection. Hmmm. Let's see:

    Got team of lawyers? Check.
Got connections to politicians in DC? Check
Got nefarious connections in DC? Check
Got the media in my pocket? Check.

Ok, if all checked off, you should be unstoppable. Oh, that's if you want to stay on The Outside. Not suitable for The Gulch.

maybe. let's come up with some choices and potential situations for players first. how do people design these games anyway?
is JG also the banker? my sister in law got us this game called Railroad Tycoon or something. it was so convoluted I started reading my Kindle between moves.

How about different levels. (Choose your level of questions/cards. Did somebody already say that?)

exactly. and it's a choice. certain property is worth more, not unlike the whole real estate part of monopoly.

well if you rolled over like a bug, no one would ever play with you again. upgrading your gun as you go takes the focus away from your wits. Protections should be part of the game however.
