    3. McCain is a way bigger big time RINO than me dino previously thought. To think me dino once voted for McCain as the lesser of two evils against a socialist Obamanation. Ugh! I feel so dirty now!

      Both ideologies use similar tactics to get what they want.

        Both political systems hype the people's this and the people's that while it is the leaders who used people to seize power who become the Animal Farm more than equal elite betters who then own the people.
        Both systems have eliminated individuals who buck a said system. And will continue to do so.

          Here's a succint way of expressing the various systems. The differences are minute, but all of them have in common, the group rules, individualism is to be avoided at all costs.
          ECONOMIC SYSTEMS
          Socialism: The means of production are owned by the state.
          Communism: The means of production are owned by the prolatariot. (Which they twist to actually mean the state.)
          Fascism, Nazism: The means of production are owned by the people, but controlled by the state.
          Capitalism: The means of production are owned and controlled by the people, the government stays out of it
          Which do you like best?

              To understand Capitalism, one first must understand the word "free." Most people do not get it. They don't equate freedom with responsibility. You're only free when you can fend for yourself. Or, the moment just before you die.

                Why did me dino just imagine myself screaming "Freedom!" before a firing squad of cloned Nutty Nancys with Chuck Schumer in charge (stupid glasses halfway down his nose) yelling "Fire!"
                What dino's dangerous mind also imagined as I wrote the above was all the Nutty Nancys missing me save one for who managed to hit my heart with a ricochet that bounced up off a rock between us.
                Harrumph! Perhaps me dino has seen too many Monty Python skits.

    I have never trusted McCain, since my brother, USAF referred to him as "Songbird", about his time in captivity. I lost more respect when I learned he was basically a gigga;p. di,[omg pme rogj wife for a riches one Then he spent most of his time in DC, without her.Just not a good person.

    I don't understand why no one sees's that the Democrats and Antifa are the ugly ghosts of the pre-WW2 Nazi Party and the street thugs know as the Brownshirts. The Democrats should rename themselves the National Socialist American Workers Party and Antifa should be known as the Blackshirts ( they always seem to wear black clothing and masks). To me, this seems to be getting scary.

    I heard the this team wanted a private place to do initiations. I don’t understand how they went 2.5 miles into s cave requiring climbing and fitting through small channels. And why should millions be spent rescuing them

      Late news of about 2 hours ago - all the boys are out, then the coach.
      Who does not feel good about this?
      Yet term2 raises a good point. Who should pay?

      Most cultures/societies give preference/care/protection to groups such as children, elderly, invalids, victims, lunatics .. For example, the Confucian ethic says 'respect your elders'. (The older I get the more I agree with that.)
      There can be many opinions but what is certain is that a culture that does not care for its children is doomed.
      Is there a contradiction with Galt's Oath? No, a culture of care does not define who is to pay. It can be voluntary- when there is an expectation that parents care for their own child, this extends to close family, and then to extended family, then to getting insurance and asking volunteers.

      The news reports are confusing, seems there were 90 divers 50 of them non-Thais.
      There are two groups of countries, those who send both government aid and volunteers, and those who are not seen whatever their wealth and capability.
      One volunteer was an Australian anaesthetist who is an experienced cave diver. He was the medic that went into the cave to check the boys.
      I don't know if the Thai gov paid him, if it were my tax money it would not rank in the top million on my protest list.

        What disturbed me is that these people willingly chose to go 2.5 miles into this known dangerous cave, led by their 'coach'. I have no issue with people being willing to go rescue them and pay for it, but this whole thing seems to be the result of stupidity on the part of the coach and the players, and by rescuing them, stupidity is encouraged since "someone" will fix it.

        In the USA the same thing is done by "rebuilding" an area damaged by mother nature when it happens over and over again. Instead of populating safer areas, people are encouraged to rebuild in these places that are repeatedly subjected to disasters.

          Wait a mo' - these are boys, children, ages from 11 to 17.
          The coach of age 25 was in charge as leader, the only adult.
          In retrospect it is easy to say that this yet another example of a nice person, well meaning, who did not take the proper precautions when having authority.

          Other than that I agree with your comment.
          Having deep caring emotions is ok, but before taking action, think it through.
          I suppose we will hear no more of this story, will the coach be charged? Convicted? Being Thailand he could go permanently into a monastery.

            What bothered me is that they went 2.5 MILES into this cave, and had to climb and go through an area only 15 inches high. It just seemed pretty irresponsible to me to "lead" young kids into such a place. I cant imagine going into a dark so called "forbidden" cave for 2.5 miles without wondering how I was going to get out

    Re Item 3. imo, the article linked is not saying there is anything definitive. It shows conflicting reports (updates) that appear (to me) to be the reverse of the original content.
    (I would not be surprised if McCain was dirty on this, but I don't see clear evidence in this article.)
