It may well be that going into politics shows a propensity toward being a psychopath.They would be attracted by the unearned power they had over regular citizens, add to that, the 100 ways to garner funds by the hand-is-quicker-than=the-eye method.. You needn't be a psychopath to be a public servant of the elected kind, but it helps.
