This is serious!...I'm sure your laughing, just like I did...but I also got a sick feeling in my gut at the same time...not to mention, until the study looked at all the states...Connecticut was number 1...no wonder my taxes are so high!

Though I have read that psychopaths themselves are not usually all that violent.

  I was surprised at two things: 1 that someone else saw what I observed early on in my research using Julian Jaynes as my guide. 2 Who would have expected Connecticut to be the most likely place these creatures hangout, second only to DC!
  
  I've never met one outside of politics that I know of and except for a few years here and there, I have lived in CT all my life.
  
  I wonder if there's somethin in the water here in CT?
  They say that the DC water supply is loaded with mercury and lead!..enough to turn one's baseball cap around backwards!...laughing

It may well be that going into politics shows a propensity toward being a psychopath.They would be attracted by the unearned power they had over regular citizens, add to that, the 100 ways to garner funds by the hand-is-quicker-than=the-eye method.. You needn't be a psychopath to be a public servant of the elected kind, but it helps.

      Ahh...Except for caesar, I hazard a guess that the rest of that gang had some assemblence of self control and actually knew the difference between a lie and the truth, not to mention empathy and mutuality with the rest of mankind.
      
      Just a guess on my part but the key here is Mutuality, empathy and self control...not doubling down on something that is bad.
      There might be another word or concept for that...it escapes me right now.

  You don't need a degree to recognize that. It always boils down to - how or better still, why do we put these psychos in office? Is psychopathic behavior catching?I think everyone should pass a test before they are allowed to vote. Subjects: History, politics, economics. The questions to be presented in the most simple way.
