Did You Know the Greatest Two-Year Global Cooling Event Just Took Place?

Wait a minute, they must be lying, Al Gore and the liberal left have nbeen riding this pony for 20 years, and haven't made enough off of, nor established enough control over the masses, to save us all from it. It just can't be true....

    This is why the title has been changed to "climate change." Completely without rational basis, the climate alarmists now insist that a cooling trend, and maybe a new ice age would be the result of continued use of "fossil" fuels.

      This is why I've mentioned this before: In the '70s it was "Global cooling! Global cooling! NYC is going to be under a sheet of ice by 2000 and it's all YOUR fault so we have to restrict your rights and tax you more to combat it!". Then by the '90s it was realized THAT wasn't going to happen so the mantra was "Global warming! Global warming! NYC is going to be under 200 feet of water by 2015 and it's all YOUR fault so we have to restrict your rights and tax you more to combat it!". Then it was realized THAT wasn't going to happen so the mantra became "Climate change! Climate change! Meaning we don't know what it's going to do but whatever it is it's all YOUR fault so we have to restrict your rights and tax you more to combat it!".

      The multi-billion dollar taxpayer funded weather forecasting system often can't tell with any accuracy what my weather is going to be next week, so I have a very hard time believing what they tell me for the next century. However, after living my life in Upstate Peoples Republic of NY, I would believe it if they told me it will be cold in December and warm in August.

    What a bunch of BS. Hot, cold I'm confused. Is the climate getting hotter or oranger? So far, the only species to live long enough on earth is dinosaurs and they don't seem to care much.They say the dinos died off when a giant meteor hit earth and changed the climate. That's possible, but I have it on good authority that they died by their own hand.After three million years they learned to cook. But, after a while, the food became bland and boring, so they didn't enjoy it. No one taught them about seasoning. Eventually they died off due to starvation. Sad. If you don't believe that story, I ask you, why not? It has about as much validity as the climate change theory.

    Tree's plant more trees, they suck up a lot of CO2. I'm looking out the window of my home office at the wide variety evergreen trees and native waxy shrubs, all CO2 suckers.

    The leftist agenda controls what is said in the media. They want more control over all of us, which means they want crises that threaten us, so they can offer more controls to "prevent" the crisis. Given this, it is not necessary to actually listen to the "reasons" we should limit carbon emissions, since the real agenda is so obvious.

        Temperatures change so slowly that it is hardly efficient to prepare for them. Maybe if you are into large scale farming it would make more sense to watch the numbers, but for household energy use its always a good idea to insulate anyway.

          I completely agree that better insulation is a wise decision. Inefficient insulation in structures is likely the biggest waste of energy in the US and the world, although lately higher education is making a run for that title.

            I have to say that IF I had kids today, I would NOT send them to public schools, and would encourage learning OUTSIDE of mainstream colleges.

            I really dont know the numbers on the energy use vs. insulation. Its also a matter of heat loss/gain through changes in landscaping, window design, airtightness of structures, as well as foundation design (basements or slabs).

            For example, I have a house built on top of an underground basement. It stays about 68-74 degrees with no AC or heat all year in Vegas. Also, if the power goes out, we just go downstairs

        I saw something somewhere, where they said exactly that and wanted to know if it was due to something changed in the sun, or if the panels were gong bad.Which is very ironic, as thesame "Global Warming" crowd put all their money into alternative energy, and these things, and pushed them (remember, Kalifornia just mandated them, right before putting the state into imperial water rules), and the damn things will just get weaker over time, and NOT because of anything "warming".

          It's funny...these alternative power production technologies and even electric cars have a much Greater detrimental effect on our environment, at a higher cost overall, than just continuing the use of oil and gas.
          It's also possible that the term: Fossil fuel, is false also.

    This is the first I've read of a greatest two-year global cooling event that just took place, but you must know goes against the $hillary-loving media's grain.
    So this must be a Fox News Lies something.
    Yes, I've read of the predicted Grand Solar Minimum and of polar caps and glaciers behaving in a way Al Gore would not like.
    Nevertheless, the Inventor Of The Internet still flies around in his private jet to tell others they shouldn't pollute the skies with jets and lives in a in a power gobbling mansion as he preaches conservative behavior only where the responsible use of energy is concerned.
    It takes one to know one. So Al Gore must know what he is talking about.
    It all boils to Global Warming or whatever that meteorological redefined Climate Change wants to do to prove we human parasites cause sustained crappy weather.
    And anyone who disagrees is a racist.

    I wonder if they realize that the earth has gone 4 billion years without man measuring the climate. And what can we do to change it. All of our polluting and and altering doesn't amount to a hill of very tiny beans compared to the cataclysmic events the earth does to itself. The two volcanoes currently putting on spectacular events are spewing more stuff into the atmosphere than we can hope to compete with in 20 years.

    Go to the website for the Mauna Loa CO2 historic records Al GOre used and look at t he graph for historic CO2 recorded at the site. Now tell me what natural phenomenon on Earth does not vary and grows in a straight line? Note that the annual variation is cyclic so it goes up and down every few months. It doesn't change with the El or La Nina/o cycles, Chinese discharge up wind of CO2 from Mao's paradise or Asian carbon out put. What other natural phenomenon has not changed its straight line rising for 60 years...is not a natural phenomenon? How can it sit near to an erupting volcano and not vary?

    So, here is a good video from "The Oppenheimer Ranch Project" (who I guess do the Grand Solar Minimum) but he explains exactly why they think we will be heading into a cold spell (estimated 200 years) and have the evidence to support the fact that climate scientists basically are all full of ...well, you know...
