Exactly...they have just traded one religion for another that is just as mystical. (religion being just the organization of some teaching.)

When it is reported that 98% of scientists “believe” in something, 2 things are certain:
1: It can’t be true. 2: “Beliefs” are not science...they are religion.

I can just imagine the mind numbing pressures that individualists feel in Colleges and University these days.

I remember a video presented in a psychology class way back when. A dozen or so people in a room were presented a slide projected image on a screen, e.g. a giraffe. Each person in turn was asked to identify the image. Everyone was in on the experiment except the 12th person. After a while, a picture of a horse was shown. The first eleven identified the horse as a cow. It was astounding how many of the 12th people also identified the horse as a cow. They squirmed and giggled and looked uncomfortable, but still identified a horse as a cow.
I do believe that following the money is a large factor in fake science being accepted as truth. But, many scientists just want to fit in. Humans are herd animals, after all.

At some point Obama just had to stop doubling down with other people’s money, and fold.

Leave it up to those that wish to donate to the research of their choice. Let them pitch their work in plain language and let the people decide...no corp. funding, no large donations allowed.
Could the unscrupulous lie?...I bet, a whole lot less than we have today....and we certainly won't have frog sex studies any more...

What are you willing to do to keep your job, might be part of the problem.
