We also know that even though the Republicans control the Legislative Branch, not nearly enough are actually principled enough to stop the Democrats from pushing an agenda coming from the Executive. You can bet that one way or the other we would be embracing Socialism and boarding the train to Serfdom (pardons to Hayek). Unfortunately, we're still on the platform looking at the train all while another in the form of fiscal insolvency comes barreling toward the station at breakneck speed.
