Yeh, IF the gov't lets them back out. Remember, we are no longer a free country. My youngest son loved scouts and I volunteered in whatever part of the scouting program he was in. I did merit badge clinics, I was on the scout counsel, I was a den mother, etc. My son made Eagle Scout. We are Mormons, but I am inactive right now. This is heart-breaking to me.

I am moved almost to tears. I was a boy scout, I was a cub scout leader, my son was a scoutmaster, my grandson is an eagle scout. It seems that the world is being taken over by idiots.

I congratulate both you and your sons. I especially applaud the mothers of Eagle Scouts since it is only with support from their mothers that they persevere to attain that honor.

Correct on all accounts. Having served as Scoutmaster for 2-1/2 years, the values instilled in these young men at such an impressionable time can make or break them. I've never seen an Eagle Scout yet who didn't learn hard work, discipline, perseverance, and many more positive qualities - including how to deal with things when they don't go the way you want. The principles Baden Powell based the BSA on were ones that turned young men into leaders and men of honor and dignity - it is no wonder that the leftists wanted to tear it down.

The test should be: if you can't stand and piss on a tree trunk, you can't be a Boy Scout.

Now to become, "Soap Opera" Derbies...(sad)

It is a shame what is being done to the BSA! Destroy organizations such as this that have been one of the cornerstones of our country and you will end up with the shallow shell we are now becoming. One by one the Progressives are dismantling these foundation stones. The BSA helped generations build character, pride and that magical product called "Self Esteem". What the schools are giving us now in that category are generations of young people who have assumed the mantle of "Snow Flakes" with a false sense of "Self Esteem" however with an over abundance of "Entitlement"!

The BSA went a long way to molding generations of young men who learned character, self-reliance and EARNED "Self Esteem". This is the way it was and the way it should be but alas, those days are coming to an end!

What we see now is an idiotic and counter-productive onslaught by Progressives attempting to destroy everything that Scouting stood for. This is also a harbinger in that without what scouts learned through generations who participated, the nation will soon be a collection of mindless, cattle all moving in the direction their overlords want them to go. They are not being taught right from wrong (too judgemental), they are not being taught morality (instead they learn Moral Relativism", in short they are learning the antithesis of scouting. This change is our downfall whereas we are placing our trust in failing education system. Perhaps that system is what should be gutted and destroyed instead of Scouting! For what its worth!

They are attacking biology! One day we will find out that we no longer have boys or girls, sons or daughters, because those words will be labeled sexist.

I have two sons who are Eagle Boy Scouts....and a 1 yr old grandson....our chapter in south florida were Jewish...the one in Dallas were mostly engineers from Texas Intruments (very competive Soapbox Derbies)

What astonished me was that the President of BSA beamed that this was wonderful. I can almost hear Karl Marx revisiting Reagan: Uncle Sam, tear down this culture.

Too bad I can't post a photo. One, with a pretty 14-ish girl and a Boy Scouts logo reads, above: "We had a great time going camping." Below, it reads: "And now I'm going to be a mommy."

But it's not all bad news. Maybe the Boy Scouts will morph into the LGBTQ Rangers. Lock yer doors.

A systematic war by the left on the values of America. Look around how the old values are disappearing chunk by chunk. People don't pay much attention because it is done "under the radar" so to speak. By the time they'll realize what has been happening all the freedom and values will be gone, replaced by a PC state and dictatorial powers.

Just to be clear I think that is a huge loss. They will start their own organization and that will be that.
The boy scouts Board have been squeezed from both sides now.
It is all about sex first the gay inclusion now
girls can be boys too. You can't even argue this stuff you can't argue with stupid they will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience. May they NEVER be prepared!
