CDC caught hiding data proving that guns are used FAR more for self-defense than for crime

This study has been suppressed for a long time...it just didn't fit the narrative of the left.
The left thinks it's NOT your self evident right to defend yourself and others.

          Dems lying 95% of the time strikes me dino as a reasonable conversational compromise.
          I mean, who can possibly lie 100% of the time?
          Oops, two faces just came floating as evil spirits would into me old dino's thoughts.
          One 100 percenter for a cur would be the sight of our previous Liar-In-Chief, committing the Obamanation of moving his lips.
          And that other face is that of The Evil Hag aka Cackles, who, if elected, would have happily enhanced King Barry's progressive legacy by further shredding The Constitution and what's left of the USA.
          So me dino supposes those two corrupt hundred percenters are hopefully so few that they are swallowed up for belonging to that 95% percentile equation in the first place.

    Not only that, but when they try to remove guns from "society", the only guns to be reduced are those with legitimate purpose (self defense). The UK experience is that guns owed for criminal purposes were not handed over when handguns were banned (big surprise), and gun crime actually increased dramatically.

    First, I confess that I'm at a loss as to why this is something the CDC is involved with.

    I can't give this story much credibility because it's about a study done 20 years ago. I believe it has some relevance to today but I would need a more recent study to say for sure.

    The swamp is still there creating and making decisions for the rest of us. They no longer believe that the citizens of this country are intelligent enough to decide who should represent them in the gov't. So, withholding information and shading it is what's they do. I'm beginning to be that the these mass shooting has been created by the swamp to manipulate the people against gun owners. Why is it that the shooters who commit these crimes have been mentally ill and that there have been some knowledge that the potential for violence was there. Then the blame goes to the gun owner and organizations like the NRA. To me this is not a conspiracy but the doing of the Swamp Things.

    I find that the left is so irrational I think that it's the inculcation of altruism that they never question. They never seem to get that philogeny recapitulated ontageny (or is it vice-versa - I never can remember). If you plant a stinkweed seed, don't expect to be growing American Beauty Roses. Like begets like.

    What is amazing is that while the CDC is manipulating data to direct the narrative in the direction they would like that none of their data crunchers would wake up and stray from the herd declaring a mistrial! Those who live by lies do so at the risk of not discovering reality and paying that price.

    It is sad when an agency that has the scientific credits to be able to be impartial is subverted to political causes. Now we have to worry about whether the CDC's reports on pathogens such as malaria and dengue have been corrected to reflect the political reality they want to portray.

        I think that is making the answer too complex. To me, it seems more likely that the individual people who work for the CDC are overwhelmingly liberal and disapprove of guns. The company begins to reflect, as its stance, the opinions of its personnel. (Take, as an analogy, the behavior of Google when one of their employees wrote a polite, accurate, but politically incorrect email.)

        It is more important to many individuals in science that their Political Correctness be approved than that their Science be correct. I lament!

    Sometimes all that is necessary is to lie about your guns. Here's a story.

    Hunter A, trespassing on hunter B's property, encounters hunter B in the woods but does not recognize him, and says, "Hey, how's it going? Get anything?"

    Hunter B, wishing to avoid any confrontation whatsoever, but wanting hunter A gone, says, "No, not yet. I got off a couple of sound shots, but I don't think I hit anything."

    A "sound shot" is shooting at the place you think the game is, based on sounds you heard. No hunter wants to be anywhere near another hunter who is doing sound shots.

    Personally, I would not admit to shooting at anyone. I would not even admit to owning any weapon other than a pile of rocks.

    The problem is that lies like this are hidden from the general public. You don't see it published in the NYT or WaPo.

    The CDC is politicized just as well any other agency.
