I have no problem with granting reparations to any ex-slaves who are still alive today, and making any ex-slave-owners still alive today pay for them.

Anyone else who claims victim status because of slavery, or claims I'm responsible for it just because I'm white, can go pee up a rope.

Politicians continue the same activities today to instill fear and hate so they can increase their power and wealth at the expense of the innocent of all colors, genders, nationalities, and religions while hiding the identities of the guilty.

As in most cases of war you are correct. There was no right side. There are those who end up drafted into the war or even joining of their own free will who are defending the lie they have been told and believe they are defending liberty when they are merely defending the aristocracy of one side or the other. I do not fault all soldiers for being evil, many believe they are accomplishing good by defending what they were told the war was being fought for. However few accomplish the goal they thought they were fighting for. There is nothing wrong with protecting innocence which is what most soldiers believe they are doing, unfortunately almost none ever really accomplish what they thought they were doing.

The southern states were controlled by military governors and the southern people (black and white) had no representation during this period. Everything about the so-called constitutional process during the period was covered up to make the South look evil and the GOP corporatocracy who caused the war and murdered thousands of civilians look like angels. As has been the case with conquering governments since the dawn of time, the history is a fraud written by the victors. There is no one left alive to expose the fraud.
Slavery is a horrible thing. The GOP was just as guilty as the Dems, and the north was just as guilty as the south. Most people in the north and the south were innocent bystanders who had no slaves and had no power to change the system. Slavery was not the primary cause of the war. GOP corruption and corporate welfare for northern manufacturers at the expense of the people of the south was the primary cause. Lincoln was a politician and a traitor to individual liberty, not a hero worthy of admiration.
No one fought on the side to "free the slaves." They fought either for the propaganda of "saving the union" at the expense of individual liberty, or the side of states rights who were wrong to keep slaves. There was no right side.

I am assuming that since my historical family fought on the side of the civil war to free the slaves and lost everything they had that as soon as some black or brown person gets a white person they will then immediately sign it over to me showing gratitude for my family (who were white) died protecting the black families.

Based on color it is apparent (to me, at least) that most african-americans have some white ancestry. Africans are much darker in color than african-americans.
I doubt there is a direct correlation to rational thinking. At least 50% of voters proved a lack of rational thinking in the 2016 election ;^)
Maybe in 20,000 years there will be no politicians to create irrational racism from nothing.
