Nightmare Norwegian Cruise Was Like a Floating Construction Site

Now this is a testament to the stupidity virus being real and infecting a lot of people, but evidently targeting decision makers. Who the heck makes you pay thousands of dollars just to ride a boat undergoing a major refit? This is so arrogant, and to offer "25% off for the next cruise"? I would hope the free market kicks in and punished NCL until they dump every idiot who had a hand in this "Brilliant" idea. I am glad I don't do cruises, this is as bad as economy class on an airline....

    There is a show on Smithsonian called "Great ships" that showcases different ships, some are cruise ships and there are some that are really awesome. But this was a frigging disaster....

    Cruises are never a good bargain, but this is ridiculous. They advertise cruises as if they are luxurious like they were in the early 20th century. They aren't luxury except for very few ships. After paying a premium price, you are stuck on a ship with people you may not like, eating mediocre grade food (all you can eat buffet food, at best), getting lower quality entertainment than on your home hifi, and you can't get away.
    The passengers should get a double refund and use it for a self guided trip to Europe, Thailand, or Australia. The food and entertainment will be infinitely better, and you can go elsewhere instead of putting up with idiots for your entire trip.
