I'd love to see California's response to a Trump tweet about possibly cutting off all government contracts to California businesses.

Yes, stinks have been raised.

Moonbeam is about to term out for the last time. There was a gubernatorial candidate debate televised last week with a couple of Repubs along with several Dems, Travis Allen sounded pretty good. I'll have to check his background before I blindly support him. Remember CA is not as BLUE as it looks from outside. Most of the more rural counties are RED and we don't have an electoral college electing a governor like
in the presidential vote. Unfortunately CA is a winner-takes-all state for that, so the sickeningly liberal cities trumped Trump. Keep an eye on us,
there might be a regime change--after all we're known for earth quqkes.

As a lot of states have they want to leave the union, I wonder if we can kick a state out. Maybe we could sell it back to Mexico and they can keep the politicians as they fit right in with all the corruption down in Mexico.

At this point, it is probably the only thing that could return any semblance of sanity to California, unfortunately. The Progressive lemmings are just bound and determined not only to throw themselves off the cliff but take everyone else with them.

Oh hell no. Would not cross the state line into Kalifornia for any reason. That's a serious statement. I hate that there's an entire section of the country - especially a beautiful, warm, attractive one - that I would (previously) go to, and have been to many times, but there you are.

I can't help but wonder if this isn't what CA is pushing for. You know, the helpless, "Oh, he threw us out of power and now he's taking over, the mean ole bully," because some/many people are dumb enough to fall for it, and because the fact that this is a granted power will never be presented by the MSM in a way that makes people realize it's the correct thing to do.

Hard to believe this is in America. People can steal anything they want as long as it's under $950 and there are addicting wondering into traffic and leaving bloody needles lying around. I would move immediately.

With each insane turn of the Marxist screw, California edges dangerously close to a condition of insurrection, disregarding federal law at their peril. The Insurrection Act of 1807 is still in effect, and that law gives immense power to the President.

Given the increasing danger to the lives and well being of American residents of the state, the President may issue a cease and desist order to California, demanding the state government follow federal laws. If the governor refuses, the Insurrection act gives the President the power to declare California insurrectionist and institute martial law. The state government is then disbanded, and may in fact be arrested, charged with willfully endangering the lives of the state's residents. A military governor would then be installed, with the intent to stage new elections after order is restored.

There may be some unwelcome consequences if the President is given no other choice. First, the action is dictatorial in nature, although a constitutionally granted power. Congress has no authority to stop the action once the President proceeds, and the action is not challengeable in any American court, as spelled out in the law. Second, it may well trigger an ill fated "revolution" by some delusional leftists who think most of the American people will rise in rebellion with them (mainly because the left wing press has fed them fake statistics that tell them so). Hopefully, cooler heads will prevail, and all that will happen is some protests and quickly stopped riots.

If President Trump is forced into this action, he may face criticism from our "friends," but others, like Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea will sit up and take notice. A leader with the strength and confidence to take unpopular but necessary action projects an image of power, and becomes someone not to be toyed with. As strange as it may sound, slapping California into line may well be the greatest trigger to widespread global peace measures yet.
