Perhaps something else...but interesting was the planet that came with it. Don't remember the video saying we'd ever see that again...they did show a circular orbit though...
Likely not the source of any myths, according to the facts in the story. "... coming closer than 1 light-year to the sun. ... Scholz's star passed by the solar system at a time when early humans and Neanderthals shared the Earth. The star likely appeared as a faint reddish light to anyone looking up at the time..." Without a theory of explanation, any observations would have to have been sophisticated. A faint red star coming and going in perhaps a lifetime would not generate much special interest. How old do you think that stories about the planets are? The ISHANGO BONE is perhaps 20,000 years old and nonetheless of putaitve intention.
I speak of the myth of NIbiru, that a rogue planet came by at some point. Also, many of the ancient people speak of the gods who came from heaven. Since there is some debate as to actual pre history, and when specific things happened, it may have had other effects such as disturbing the Oort cloud and sending some ice comets inward.

While none of this constitutes clear facts, it is still something possibly associated.
One meme is the story of Satan/Saturn and why kings wear hats. To me, it is more speculative than the evidence that Herakles was a real person.
