Having been a member of TIGHAR (The International Group For Historic Aircraft Recovery) for about 10 years, and followed their creation of the Nikumaroro Island theory, they have done a really fine job of building data, facts and not giving into any speculation beyond what the data supports. All the way to discovering the reason she could not locate or transmit on the long overwater flight (she ripped off an antenna in Borneo when she made a bad takeoff). They have defended themselves against TV networks (dare we say "PBS"?) who come off with pictures in a guidebook taken 2 years before she disappeared. They just have not had the money to fund the detailed search for the plane off the reef, but have a really good theory of exactly what happened and can tie all the pieces together of the radio calls heard later even. They go for planes all over the world, and even will train you if you want to play.

Glad to see this get some attention as "fact".
