Arrests last year were the first dominos to fall.https://http://www.cnn.com/2018/01/06/middlee...
The CNN article is critical of the anti corruption head . That to me means he is doing the right thing. The Crown Prince said his anti-corruption campaign in November was an example of the shock therapy the Kingdom needed, because of endemic corruption. “You have a body that has cancer everywhere, the cancer of corruption. You need to have chemo, the shock of chemo, or the cancer will eat the body.” The Kingdom couldn’t meet budget targets without halting this looting, he said.

Prince Mohammed said he remembers corruption personally, as people tried to use his name and connections starting in his late teens. “The corrupted princes were a minority, but the bad actors got more attention. It harmed the energy of the royal family.” All but 56 of those arrested have now been freed after paying restitution: “Most of them know they have made big mistakes, and they have settled.”

The Crown Prince said that a “shock” was also needed to check extremism in the Kingdom. He said his reforms, giving greater rights to women and fewer to the religious police, were simply an effort to reestablish the practices that applied in the time of the Prophet Mohammed.

    I'd like to see it too, but it'll never happen. Trump especially made a whole career out of bribing politicians, and believes America should continue to work that way.

    I would like to see them suffer the same fate as their victims.

    Those were rhetorical questions. I would like to see the warmongers and hate-instigators defend their destructive rationalizations.

    "Peace at any price, even war"? Bomb them into submission? Kill them till they give up self-defense?

    So you think that women need to fulfill some natural built in role? I see that the women who post here are at least as equal as you are and perhaps even better.
    Families break due to many causes, mainly due to alcohol, drugs, and just marring too young due to the influence of sexual attraction among those who live for the moment.

    Can't argue the demise of the western family.
    Just not mine married in 1979 3 kids and till death when we part..
    With due respect. You seem to be against women working. Ayn Rand wouldn't agree. I find equal value potential with anyone man or woman until proven otherwise. The individual is who I judge not the sex. Every person plays a different role in life. I am not so arrogant to tell anyone where their place is.

    Good answer.
    Me dino is recalling a cartoon where the last surviving Muslim and the last surviving Jew throw open their arms and hug each other.
    Then the Muslim detonates a bomb on his body.
    So methinks if a sniper does not take out the prince, someone he lets get close to him will.
    Hope the prince has a nice long life. This world of woe needs all the peacemakers it can get.

    The Gods of the Copybook Headings

    AS I PASS through my incarnations in every age and race,
    I make my proper prostrations to the Gods of the Market Place.
    Peering through reverent fingers I watch them flourish and fall,
    And the Gods of the Copybook Headings, I notice, outlast them all.

    We were living in trees when they met us. They showed us each in turn
    That Water would certainly wet us, as Fire would certainly burn:
    But we found them lacking in Uplift, Vision and Breadth of Mind,
    So we left them to teach the Gorillas while we followed the March of Mankind.

    We moved as the Spirit listed. They never altered their pace,
    Being neither cloud nor wind-borne like the Gods of the Market Place,
    But they always caught up with our progress, and presently word would come
    That a tribe had been wiped off its icefield, or the lights had gone out in Rome.

    With the Hopes that our World is built on they were utterly out of touch,
    They denied that the Moon was Stilton; they denied she was even Dutch;
    They denied that Wishes were Horses; they denied that a Pig had Wings;
    So we worshipped the Gods of the Market Who promised these beautiful things.

    When the Cambrian measures were forming, They promised perpetual peace.
    They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
    But when we disarmed They sold us and delivered us bound to our foe,
    And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: "Stick to the Devil you know."

    On the first Feminian Sandstones we were promised the Fuller Life
    (Which started by loving our neighbour and ended by loving his wife)
    Till our women had no more children and the men lost reason and faith,
    And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: "The Wages of Sin is Death."

    In the Carboniferous Epoch we were promised abundance for all,
    By robbing selected Peter to pay for collective Paul;
    But, though we had plenty of money, there was nothing our money could buy,
    And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: "If you don't work you die."

    Then the Gods of the Market tumbled, and their smooth-tongued wizards withdrew
    And the hearts of the meanest were humbled and began to believe it was true
    That All is not Gold that Glitters, and Two and Two make Four
    And the Gods of the Copybook Headings limped up to explain it once more.

    As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man
    There are only four things certain since Social Progress began.
    That the Dog returns to his Vomit and the Sow returns to her Mire,
    And the burnt Fool's bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire;

    And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins
    When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins,
    As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will burn,
    The Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return!

    And I, personally, wouldn't know about it until some place like TGP or BB posted the story. I don't do cable OR broadcast media and almost never bother with movies or other forms of propaganda.

    That he still walks among the living says that he does ... and that his intelligence organization is second to none, as well.

    And yet, when you seriously consider what has happened to the Western family, I'm not as eager for changes as you seem to be. Yes, women need to be treated with respect and dignity, but they are not actually equal to men ... they have a different role to play in the home and the nation.

    More positive steps will be when we withdraw all our troops from all other countries, close our foreign bases, and stop dropping bombs on innocent people.

    A similar "shock" is needed in the US, also. I suggest that the "drain the swamp" effort should start at the TOP of the swamp.

    If the Crown prince hated Trump....CNN would love everything he did and we would be treated to stories of how he was a real Muslim in giving the women their rights.
