Mark Levin played Heston's 1997 speech on his radio program a few nights ago.

It is amazing that this speech from 1997 hits the nail on the head now. I think even more so now.

Interesting that he chastises the press of that time for abuses of the First Amendment. Today's press is 100x worse than it was then!

It is striking to me that those that find horror in the loss of 17 youths at the hands of a deranged individual see nothing wrong and are on board with a government sending thousands to die in wars, far away and for unknown or contrived reasons.

I heard much of it as well. The problem is that it should be played with in the entirety of the congress for a week and when one of those brainless fools starts to fall asleep wack him upside the head with a 4x4. the speech will go down in a foot note of history once the citizenry of the usa has had all of their fire arms confiscated. unless of course their is a storming of the bastille.

I saw him in a campaign stop in Moorhead, MN supporting Norm Coleman for Senate back about this same time. Pretty much the same speech, but when he's standing 10 feet from a guy, I can tell you, he just gave me goosebumps. So many universal truths whether it was 1957, 1997, or 2018!!
