Trump’s revenge on California: The Census

“If millions of non-citizens refuse to participate in the US Census, the Democrats will take [a] massive political beating,” Tony Quinn, a political analyst and former Republican legislative aide, wrote in the Fox

I'm not sure if this makes one ounce of sense. It's ok to do a census and count people who are here, that do not have any right to be here? The good state of Kalifornia is pissed because they lose representation and money that they are looting for people who they have decided to let in, being the glorious "Sanctuary State" they claim to be? No one else in the conuntry asked them to do it, so why should they want to loot money from the Feds to pay for it? One would think, being so kind and generous, they would have a way to fund all their support for people who they have invited in, themselves. After all, good people routinely have to take care of their house guests...except in Kalifornia.....

NY and CA end up OVER Represented in Congress LITERALLY because of the ILLEGALS they let in.
    Let that sink in...

Now imagine a democrat plan to put sanctuary counties in ALL SWING States (being done as we speak).
Broward County, FL and Palm Beach County, FL are both Sanctuary Counties now... The Sheriffs dont want to talk about it,
and they will "technically" deny it, by avoiding truly answering the question. (if THEY think the criminal should be handed over,
    they will).

So, swing states, with Amnesty will flip to Blue. And in the INTERIM, they maximize the population # to get more representation.

I am ALL FOR asking if they are illegal, and for making it PERJURY if they lie!

Next up, if I was Trump, I would setup a web page for Illegals to register at, where they have to indicate how long they have been here, if they are driving without insurance/license, and if they are paying federal taxes, etc.

And I would give them a deadline, and say ANYONE NOT on that list will be free to deport. The people who sign up and ONLY those will be eligible for whatever future plans we make and exceptions...

Of course, the goal is to simply use this list to deport everyone in the end... Once the "plan" is to deport those people on the list... Watch the self-deportation take off.

BTW, I am tired of hearing that "we cannot possibly deport 33 Million Illegals"... Dude, I am an American... Don't challenge me. Just film the first 100 families LOSING all of their assets, and being tossed out. Anyone who fights with a legal battle stays in jail until their court date. And a Joe Arapio Jail!

Question: Are illegal immigrants and other non-citizens "free persons" according to the Constitution's definition? If not, should they be counted (if at all) at the "three-fifths" rate?

Article 1, Section 2 states: "Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons.

It seems to me that a census question regarding citizenship would be necessary to fulfill this constitutional requirement concerning representation in Congress.

I would agree, but since the argument becomes a screaming "racist" diatribe, reality like "the Constitution" never seems to come up anymore. We are not a nation of law, we are a nation of screaming idiots. You would seem to be correct, great point.

That clause doesn't count anymore. Amendment XIV Section 2 now governs. See https://constitution.com/amendments-1...

      In relevant part:

Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed. But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice-President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age,* and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens twenty-one years of age in such State.

So: you count persons. Period. End of memo.

Blame the radical Reconstruction Congress for this muddle in which we find ourselves.

Except for one thing: we're talking strictly about denying the right of citizens of the United States to vote. Furthermore, California could then try to declare that those residents have every right to vote in any election taking place in California--and even try to make that good for Presidential electors, Senators, and Representatives.

I would seek to admit East California to the Union. That's the "New California" some people are trying to form.

Okay, this opens up another avenue. The right to vote is obviously “abridged” for non-citizens, so according to the 14th Amendment, the basis of representation must be reduced by the proportion of non-citizens (including “undocumented” immigrants) to the total population of each state. This might be sufficient to reduce California's congressional count by a few members.

Wow!...sounds like the south and their intention to use their slaves to bolster the level of their representation in the government...that's why we scraped Property and wrote in happiness assigned to our inalienable rights.

Excepting Anyone that just wonders into our lands un-noticed, unannounced, is Not the American way.
Nowhere in our constitution does it say so.

As if the illegal immigrant community is exploited any worse than the slave population in the 1800's...

The Census absolutely should have a distinction between Citizen and non-Citizen because we are talking about representative government. Only those who are Citizens of the United States deserve a say in determining their Representation in government. Period.

An even greater fear among California Democratic leaders is the loss of Federal funds tied to population. Things like block grant funds, social service funds and similar programs with population based formulas. The Democratic politicians need these programs to buy votes. If they cannot deliver the bacon, the are at risk, from primary challengers or, in some cases, Republicans.

I can think of several ways to constitutionally challenge the provision of "social services" to illegal immigrants. If Trump can manage to put one or two more people on the Supreme Court, such challenges might actually be upheld.

Californians may be so used to phonyness such as movie sets with streets of facades with nothing behind them that they think that they can get away with making us believe in a population that is just as unreal. They'll try to get unregistered illegal immigrants counted. Hopefully it won't happen.

    From the Census Bureau:

“Some people consider participating in the census as important as voting. But, unlike voting, the census touches everyone living in the United States -- regardless of age or citizenship status. As one of the foundations of our democratic process, the census provides every person in the United States with an equal voice in Congress.”
    https://www.census.gov/dmd/www/dropin...

This seems inaccurate to me. If it were literally true, the Census would include tourists and foreign nationals that are here as students or temporary workers. Are such people, along with illegal immigrants, entitled to “an equal voice in Congress”?

As with all oversimplified statements, what should be stated is that the census applies to legal permanent residents. That would include green card holders, who are not citizens, and some of whom may not ever seek citizenship. Government bureaucracy is dominated by globalists, who constantly blur the lines to imply anyone who wants to enter our country should be treated like citizens.

The first step of the wicked is to destroy the language and blur the definitions. (Even the devil quotes the bible).

The key take away of the book 1984 was control of people through the control of language.
Kinda like the Leftism of today.

PC is always a step towards fascism.

The complaint always heard is that by not counting the illegals, they do not know how much they have to spend to take care of them, because illegal or not, we all must be soft hearted and take care of them, giving them food and shelter and social security and welfare, because, because it's just "right" (sob, cry, choke). So, they justify illegal behavior, with more illegal behavior, because the left and liberals all feel they know what is best, damn the stupid laws and rules...oh by the way we need another 15% income tax to pay for this...
