The problem in places like SF is not its politics (except maybe government unwillingness to make the bums go away, which appears to be imposed on them by federal courts). The problem is well-meaning lefties who believe the bums are all really homeless and give them money, thus creating an incentive for them to stay and bring their friends.

Maybe it is cleaned up only to be replenished.

Why make a map instead of cleaning the stuff up?

Having just returned from SF, I can tell you that it is worse than NYC pre-Giuliani. Heroin-dealing and shooting-up out in the streets in broad daylight. Police did nothing. Homeless and people who do not have their wits about them wander the streets, many yelling incoherently. It's sad.

I use a saline nasal spray frequently in the winter.
It kills cold germs. When the nose itself gets cold the immune systems in the nose are not as effective at the same time hands touching or rubbing it help bring germs to it. Now it's chicken noodle soup time.
