That's precisely why our forefathers and most others at the time questioned if these tribal like people could learn and contribute to civilization.
They soon found out that they could, if motivated and the "Black" founders, (wallbuilders.com) today would make everyone on the left look like kindergartners!
Language and writing and learning are the key factors.

I always thought it referred to categorizing some animals as being human and deserving of “human rights” based on their DNA that gave them skin color. I always thought this was a stupid idea and made no sense to me
That said, I do think there are other characteristics of people that I find I am attracted to or epelled by.
I tend to put a lot of weight to the culture a person has grown in (due to the deep seated influence it has). I like some cultures and dislike others and I think this is ok and want to surround myself with people I like.
I think this is ok, given I have to use generalizations living in such a crowded world
I don’t like the Muslim culture, the entitled cultures, cult cultures like Mormons, and certain Asian cultures. Doesn’t mean certain people born into a culture will adopt all of its beliefs.
Today, preferring to eat vanilla ice cream could be interpreted as being racist against blacks.
I prefer to live around people who hold similar intellectual thoughts. Therefore I don’t invite randomly chosen Somali or Syrian refugees to live in my house. If they will enhance my life I may choose to invite one, but it would be merit based
I think merit based immigration is the way to go, and we should implement that policy immediately. As to DACA, the ones who pass the merit based standards can stay- otherwise out they go
