Kansas Forces Craigslist Sperm Donor to Pay Child Support For Child of Lesbian Couple
I'm not sure which angle to even begin with here. Welfare, sexuality identification, state over reach....
I'll pick this: If you get your sperm donor from Craigslist, your kid might have huge health bills
Also, I almost can't pick a category. I almost picked pics (because the pictures are kind of entertaining) :)

Uh huh. Yeah, I guess that explains all of the tittering over "the pictures," eh?
I guess it also explains the snide remarks over a woman (two women, actually) who "swing both ways," 'coz that obviously has EVERTHING to do with "poor choices."
Give me a break. Het people make poor choices -- worse than these -- every day. But you don't see them splashed all over the pages of a sensationalist Brit tabloid now, do you? No, this story is getting press -- and was posted here -- because of its sensationalistic value.

"William Marotta ... suggested he might be a victim of bias against same-sex parenting. 'I have a hunch part of the reason this is going this way is because of people’s feelings toward same-sex couples,' Marotta told FoxNews.com.
Aw, gee, ya think?
Yeah. So do I.

Post the recipe, sounds like something I need to make. :)
Taking scotch eggs to a dinner party tonight
I couldn't post below, because of the -well-you know. My best friend is a lesbian, partnered, and mother of two beautiful girls. They did not get their sperm donor from craigslist(possible trainwreck). They did not stay in touch with their sperm donor and update him on the progress of their children (train wreck 2). They are a stable household emotionally, financially. (train wreck 3 in the story). Couples do split up, and that's is trying for everyone in the family. For stability sake, I think kids want their parents to pick a team, if you know what I mean. and get a job, so there's no need for welfare. and finally, and this part is the sad part, on top of everything else the child has huge medical bills in a recent period of time.this is hard for anyone and adds to the whole trainwreck feel here. I am sorry if I offended you, consenting adults can do whatever they want, but I can comment on an article, that the family willingly participated in and provided their own pictures for; and it shouldn't offend you. I mean, you were ok with the fart jokes
I'll draw my own lines and you draw yours....of this establishment... Seriously..you sound like a liberal.
"These 'adults' have made a mess of things." Oh, really? WHAT mess? A lesbian deciding to have a child is a "mess?"
"Like a train wreck." Really? How, exactly, is a lesbian deciding to have a child a "train wreck?"
And the one that really bothers me is the snide comment about a woman who can't decide whether she's a lesbian or straight. And then mentioning some celebrity who "swings both ways," which has nothing to do with this topic.
For your information, LOTS of women "swing both ways." What of it?
The whole tone, from both of you, was one of mocking gay/bi women. Nobody mocks YOU for being straight and monogamous. Can you please have a little respect for those of us who are otherwise?
Thanks in advance.
You said that as if we have anyway of knowing that you're NOT "strong, muscular, farm-labor type".
I think it's a safe bet that they're looking for strong, muscular, farm-labor types.
What I don't like is people getting all judgmental over other people's sexual choices. The snide remarks (see the very bottom of this thread) were, in my view, over the line.
