My 16 year old son is really into pool, so we alternate taking him to my parent's park and to the local pool hall. Our house would not comfortably hold a table...we're toying with the idea of getting an old second hand one and putting it in the back yard. He'd be in his glory. lol (You might be a red neck if.......)

Do you shoot pool much? I had a table for years. I also spent lots of time shooting with my Dad. (I am right handed in everything but pool, since Dad taught me to shoot). Hey, life is short, so enjoy everything you can now, don't know when it will be too late. I had dinner with a friend that sold her house in CA and moved last October to Costa Rica.. She's been trying to talk me into going there and opening a restaurant. Every day new things happen to make me want to just say "screw it." Texas and I will bring some Guinness Stout !!

I was talking to my Dad tonight and he said the saddest thing. "I'm not worried for us (meaning himself and my Mom), we're old and probably won't have to deal with what will happen...but I'm really worried about you...and them (our kids)." This shit could blow up tomorrow, but I didn't have the heart to tell him that. Instead...to lighten the mood, when he was about to easily sink the 8 ball (and beat us AGAIN), I bumped his stick and not only did the 8 ball not go into the pocket...he scratched! Me and my Mom laughed so hard I almost peed my pants. (My Dad has no tolerance for cheating.) He did say later...after I stopped howling, that watching me make a spectacle of myself laughing almost made it worth it. lol

I know what you mean.. every day there is a new threat against freedom. What the heck are our children going to be left with? We are in a big mess.
