I get it , but I like Israel.
Let me make a case to move the UN to the Central African Republic According to The Legatum Prosperity Index, the Central African Republic is one of the world's least prosperous countries. Alongside this fact, the Central African Republic deals with a multitude of administrative, infrastructural, and economic problems which influence the country’s placement among this infamous top five list. Following a military coup in 2003, the situation across the country remains very dangerous to this day. Threats to civilian safety, including armed rebel groups, very high rates of violent crime, and general lawlessness, are the main reasons for everyone from international bodies to commercial travel websites trying to dissuade prospective visitors from travelling there. Ebola and HIV . Reports of violence, reprisal killings, looting, and human rights abuses continue to occur across the country, and the capital and largest city of Bangui is not an exception. The UN would fit right in.

I'll go along with that. Why just slap the UN in the face?
The USA will have to get out of the UN too. Why risk Nicki Haleys' life.
Trump can appoint her to do something else.

I couldn't agree more , with out us and the debt we issue to support the "new world order" we could slow that debt clock you have kindly presented from time to time. As For Nikki Haley the sky is the limit. Edited to add As Ambassador to the United Nations, Haley has affirmed the United States' willingness to use military force in response to further North Korea Missile tests in the wake of the 2017 North Korea crisis. Haley's tenure as Ambassador has been noted for its high degree of visibility, unusual for an Ambassador to the United Nations, with some outlets speculating on Haley as a potential future Secretary of State.

I like Israel too, I just hate the middle eastern mentality of both sides, which seems to revolve around "If I scream and yell louder than you, I win". The contest never ends. There should be no problem coming up with a common solution for all, if a truley neutral 3rd party was given a guarantee by both sides they would abide by a decision. Finding that party could be a chore, but it should not be so hard. I have disagreed with their West Bank use and settlements ever since they started, and they have treated Palestinian farmers and towns like crap. But when you have been kicked around for 2,000 years, you tend to get a little thick skinned. The UN has allowed so many passes to countries for out and out evil, it isn't funny. "Sanctions" has worked incredibly well in North Korea, they did a damn fine job on ISIS, and their Syria solution has been great. They are truly the "Captain Dunsail" of politics (well, right next to the Democrats).

nickursis - the decision to be made by a neutral 3rd party.
This is an aside but it so happens that has been tried.

In 1946/7, the UN was divided on this topic -the West supported the Arab middle-east, and the Soviets supported Israel in order to oppose the West. The sides, not having much at stake except posturing, set up a committee to decide. This was seven(?) small and non-aligned nations. The committee did
the work and eventually produced a map with borders.

Israelis were upset, the area allocated to them met no security need and omitted ancient heritage sites. They agonized, the choice was take it or leave it, they agreed.

The Arab response was the same then as now - no Jewish state, it is our land; but, who was our? Israelis proclaimed their state. The armies of all the surrounding Arab states plus Iraq, invaded. War. The our became clear, it meant the nation that sent the army wanted as much territory as could be got. There was no mention of setting up a 'Palestinian' state.

Supposedly to reduce conflict, an arms embargo was set up but easily by-passed as geography enabled supplies to Arab armies. Perhaps as Jews are clever or more likely due to enmity between Cairo and Baghdad, corruption and inefficiency, when a cease-fire took effect, Israeli troops occupied an area different and greater than had been awarded. No borders were agreed, just armistice lines.

To be valid, contracts, agreements, treaties between parties need agreement, obviously.
There was, and still is no agreement.

So, ' return to 19xx borders', no such borders.
'Trade land for peace', tried, didn't work.

            Thanks Lucky for the history.
It is true the so called Palistinians side under Arafat never ever tried to end or wanted the conflict to stop.
They wanted to sacrifice families to gain public support. Sadly with the leftist media
It has worked for the most part.

Lucky, no argument there. There were several reasons to that, the Arabs had a huge advantage in weapons and people, so they did not think they had to give in on anything. The Israelies, short on everything, took the deal just to survive. It is different today when there is an essential parity, until you toss in every group thinking they have a claim, then it becomes a mess, because the Arabs have never run a united front with an agreed on plan, it was always a "seat of the pants" thing, and when they had a chance to even discuss things, always broke into factions and argued. My point is it is time for plain talk, no BS, and no "sensitivity" to all the factions, as the moment you are sensitive to one, they all demand their share and back to the start we go. Having seen Arab and Jewish culture, I can say they will argue until hell freezes, as it seems to be their cultural way. I think Jerusalem has to be declared an open city, and be run by a triparte council of Christians, Jews and Muslims, and they can then be tasked with running it with the one provision no one can control a specific shrine or site. Then Israel can have their capital next to it, and call it whatever they want. As long as competeing parties lay claim to it, it really cannot be their capital, as it implies ownership of all the shrines and sites, and that just doesn't work. The overall border thing should not be that hard either, because they have to recognize Israel and Palestine both have historical claims, the Palestinian one is a bit harder to prove because of all the changes between tribes and groups over the years. But some accommodation can be done, if they just all decide to do it. As long as one group feels stronger than the rest, they will fight.

    Bravo Nicki Haley !!
    Another wonderful Trump, woman appointee.
The UnCivil War has many fronts.
She Tweeted this earlier in the week.
"At the UN we are always asked to do more and to give more. So when we make a decision at the will of the American people, about where to locate our embassy , we don't expect those who we have helped to target US. On 12/21/17 there will be a vote criticizing our choice. The US will be taking names."

Nikki slapped those corrupt fat bast@#ds right up the side of their greedy arrogant heads. This has been an issue with a lot of people for 50 years now, the US giving large sums of money to the UN and countries to "help them" and then being flipped off by said countries. You don't do that at home, why would you do that with these clowns. If they have such brilliant ideas, why haven't they come up with a solution for Israel and Palestine? Because no one wants to, they want an ongoing war, and more is better, as it sells more bombs, tanks and planes. It allows Russia and China to trade weapons for power and influence, and manipulate more countries. We have thousands of college "political science" majors and they can't figure this basic reality out? Arggh...

If we pull out of the UN, it will be controlled by communists in the security council and they will do whatever russia and china want. I dont know enough about exactly what the UN could do, given Russia and China controlling votes. We certainly dont get anything positive out of being in it, only possibly the reduction of negatives.

It's about time...we've been giving money to our present, past and future enemies, not to mention everyone else with their raunchy mouths open and a finger pointing toward it...it's time to spread their wings and fly on their own.

Socialism has reached it's peak...We're Broke!

Niki did good job. Next step is for US to end paying more than we agreed to pay and let the UN crumble on its own. Same with NATO. Same with all foreign aid.
