Representative Jose Serrano (D NY 16) calls for a caudillo!
However, 2/3 of each House and 3/4 of all States are needed for ratification.

I say send it to the States first and give people an idea of where to flee from and to.

read The Blaze article. He's done this every year since the early 2000s.
and you're right about Roosevelt. along with handouts, some of the most if not the most govt overreach in our country's history against citizens and businesses. all in the name of emergency.

I'm not surprised by this at all. OF COURSE it would be the Demunists to propose the bill. You can imagine the uproar from the communist camp if the repubs proposed this during the Reagan era...In either case, I'm confident Boehner will go along with it...what a stand-up guy.

they actually did. and Reagan was not against it. Clinton was not against it as well. Their argument was the citizen should be able to vote for whom they wanted. But I agree with DK below. it creates power monsters.

Wow. Obviously I didn't know that.. The argument over the power monsters is basically obsolete though, thanks to the manipulation of the voting machines and in areas where ID is NOT required. I'm sure you've read the fraud stories, like 108% of the vote in Allen West's county had voted...hmm I wonder if that's the 4,000 vote loss?
