The Big Bang never happened - and there might be traces of an earlier universe, scientist claims

This is the same idea that James Blish had as the foundation of "Cities In Flight" back in the 60's. He called it "Gnu-Gnap" some ancient word descrbing "begining from the end" and the universe contracted to a point where both the contracting antimatter universe, meets the expanding positive matter universe, resulting in a complete reset, rinse and repeat. It also sort of mirrors "Global Warming" story, one group swears tis is true, another swears that is true, and then the PR war starts.

    Funny, if their statements are true, then it really takes current astronomical science and tosses it out the airlock...

    Dobrien, your above comment also applies to the current "Big Bang Theory".
    A slightly different question is what cause the original inflation? Was it a big bang or something else. If there was no Bang, has the universe existed in this oscillating state for an infinitely long time?
