Low intelligence is not the cause, let alone the only cause, of violence. How people act depends on the content of the ideas, whether simple or advanced. The German Weimar Republic that created Nazism was one of the best educated countries in the world. So, imagine living in an area where enough food is ready to eat (no canning needed), and the people don't have to plan ahead for seasons without food. There actually may be something where they are skinny and have a lower IQ because they are not consuming enough calories to develop both the body and the brain, and natural selection kicks in. Strength helps more than planning ahead.

I don't see any test as sacred, but I can see ability on the test could be correlated with many things such as crime. I think you're saying if IQ is correlated with honest behavior, then we could have a IQ test at the gate, as it were, reducing the number of criminals entering. I do not think this is practical. Also, if IQ and honest behavior are not very tightly correlated, the test would let in a lot of bad people and deny entry to a lot of good people. Whether we like it or not, I think the world will homogenize geographically. France won't be a rich country and Ethiopia won't be a poor country. Instead of you have rich and poor people everywhere. IMHO you cannot stop it, and I do not even think it's desirable. Maybe it will lead to people living in little gated enclaves, and I'll wish we could go back. I'm not sure how it will play out. It's very difficult for me to see nations staying separate now that we have jet travel and the Internet.

So, as a citizen, we DIFFER on this. See, I am second generation American, and my wife is from former Yugoslavia (Macedonia). I've been to Russia a few times to hire programmers. I can tell you how it ends. Not well. My wife speaks 5 languages and has visited every major continent. I've been everywhere from Norway, through most of europe, all Americas, and Australia. (China is on my list, Africa/Egypt were scrubbed). You could say I have traveled a bit. I think I am about 8 states shy of having stayed in every state( HI and PR were hit).

As IQ goes down, violence tends to go up. Brutality and Might make Right are the rule of law. Also, cheating goes up, and so does corruption.

In Russia I learned there is ZERO correlation between poverty and crime! In fact, in Russia, it is inverted. The wealthier you are, the more likely you are a criminal! The poor don't commit the same level of violent crimes and robberies (nobody has anything to take). Also, their form of punishment is almost barbaric. But it keeps people honest.

So, Macedonia is being overrun by Albanians. Now Albanians have already ruined and corrupted their government. Now everything in Macedonia is printed in 2 languages. Albanians are not bad people, but the bad ones among them have learned the system. Back home, the punishment was swift. Here... They argue the difference in the wording between Albanian and Macedonian confused them. They are given another warning, and let free. It is BY FAR less safe there now than 20 years ago. Drugs are rampant, sex slave trade is active. It's like a different world. And now, the incoming government is used as a tool to persecute the outgoing. We have an asylum seeking friend who was in the government, and their family is continuously harrassed, etc.

Polite society gets pushed aside. They are simply outnumbered by the masses. Society degrades to the lower level. Simply revision to the mean.

Why would I want people here who have an IQ of 70, that will feel left out by society, and easily converted into some form of criminal, because with that IQ, they will NEVER excel in America. But, they can survive as a criminal for a while. Also, they will vote for handouts, of course...

I actually think the nation state is going away, and having boundaries where people cannot cross, artificially propping up prices by keeping willing buyers and sellers apart is bad. I want them to move toward mostly open immigration. So much value is in computer data now, that flies across borders without a tax anyway. I see borders as a vestige of a period of time when roads could connect former city-states well but were not good at taking people long distances or over geographic boundaries. My point is it's not only special interests that want open immigration.

But I really hate any policy of looking the other way. I think it erodes the concept of the law. So I approve of President Trump enforcing immigration laws. Congress should change them, IMHO, making it much easier for people to come visit, work, attend events, take classes, and do whatever they want that's legal and not demanding a handout.

The fact that everyone knew who Trump was talking about without his mentioning her other name shows that it was not clumsily done, his delivery was quite good and showed that he had thought about how to phrase it (unlike some of his other antics such during the primary debates). Most people got the joke because they have been laughing at her for years; they're laughing more now because the setting was a new and unexpected twist, and because she became so hysterical over it, with the usual irrelevant progressive outburst screaming "racist". It doesn't solve any big problems in government but it serves as an entertaining side show to temporarily relieve some tension. Back to work.

They don't have to be "brought out of the shadows". They are in the streets and in government offices demanding government benefits and that their illegality be ignored. That isn't in the "shadows". A lot of all kinds of lawbreakers do deliberately hide in the "shadows"; the solution isn't to grant them amnesty so they no longer have to hide from law.

3) President Trump makes me smile far more than he makes me frown. He's witnessed a lot of "games", too, and just doesn't always play along with the rules or the agenda set by his detractors.
