There have been starry-eyed attempts to "build one and they will come" by Birmingham politicians with questionable motives. Foremost among them. one Larry Langford, now serves 15 years in prison for a bribery scheme.

I am sure you are correct and it just plain looks better written as belles. In my defense I am from way up north were the wind is freezing cold and the water is forming a solid ice surface.
Regarding reasons to watch , the only reason is to spend the time with my beautiful wife who enjoys entertainment fluff and I enjoy her.

I believe that should be "belles", but since the Internet, the English language has taken a series of body blows on a regular basis. And, yes, southern belles could be a reason to watch.
