    Thank you for a wonderful memory. I am old enough to remember these 'silver dollar' engines, so called as many of them had the boiler seal in the front painted silver so you saw a silver medallion shape outlined in black on the front of the engine. These old oil burners were real strength engines and could pull tremendous trains. The heyday of rail passenger travel was pulled by such as these.
