If such a thing happens, the ivory tower inhabitants will be the first to fall. The realists will have prepared and have a fallback position from which to survive. "..inadvertently implementing bad policies." Do you not hear the contradiction in that phrase? Whose policies? And there was nothing inadvertent about it. If they were not meant to be implemented, why were they promulgated in the first place? If the plethora of Executive Orders signed in the last 5 years were not meant to be implemented, why were they crafted? Connect the dots.
