OH..lol I thought you were saying you had already posted it and I had looked extra hard to make sure no one had. After being silent for a week (which I think was a respectful thing for them to do) I was happy to hear what they had to say, but I guess that's obvious tho.

It will seem to have traction until those that own the media have determined the political capital of this to give more fuel to the right vs. left fallacy has been extinguished.

Texas already has one school district up close to the Tex Ok border where teachers can carry concealed weapons....funny, haven't heard about any shootings, either purposeful or accidental out of that district yet.

School districts have the power to allow teachers to carry already...it isn't a federal problem to address...it is a state/local problem.

I'm sure some staff would be willing. If not then an armed guard would have to be worked into the budget, OR have retired volunteer cops, military etc. on campuses. It could be done. People see the importance of having that presence. And a few posted signs around the perimeter of the school stating that there are armed staff on campus.

Who is going to pay for that police officer? Can you say train teachers, give them conceal and carry permits and keep the costs down.
