With him prosecuting the Russian case, they can rest easy knowing he isn't going to investigate his own connections stemming from the 2009 Uranium One deal. If he goes and a new team gets called in, Manafort's indictment could be swept under the rug as many in the prior Obama Administration get hauled in for questioning.
