Interesting article. As Madeline Albreit was quoted on Sunday, "the world is a mess. "

Interesting way to look at it. I don't think the comparison holds however. He intervened in Libya and threatened to do so in Syria. He is using US influence to try and weaken Israel. His primary focus on foreign policy is to undo 50 years of American influence. Sometimes that means sitting it out but not always. Galt sat out completely and allowed events to simply unfold as he knew they would.

The author is making a counter comparison. He correctly concludes the article. But I felt the same way going in. He was being provocative

Precisely. There's no way to compare him to Galt. The lense the author must be looking through...

He has never produced anything of value so no. He never even had a job in the real world where you are expected to produce something of value for trade.

Barry doesn't want America to shrug, rather, he wants America to die. Which is to say that he wants to drive the concept of the individual out of existence. His world view of humans sees them only as members of a class.

The person who wrote this is high.

"Now, Barack Obama has decreed that the American Atlas should shrug"...No he hasn't. This is totally delusional.

The Obama character doesn't have the same virtues of Independence, Honesty, Productivity, Integrity, Rationality, Pride and Justice, that the character, John Galt has.

Better to ask, Is Ellsworth Toohey Obama?

Obama shrugs only when it suits him. Early on he punished Honduras for getting rid of a Castro wannabe President. He also broke a promise to the Russians and bombed Khaddafy out of power. Then he threatened to do the same thing in Syria until the Russians intervened. Remarkably, he's managed to be on the wrong side TWICE in Egypt. Obama is no Galt. He's exactly what Bill Clinton called him. "An amateur."

This article uses the same sort of psychology that I was trying to apply to George Soros a couple of weeks ago. If I were a politician who was trying to destroy America, I could do it no more efficiently than Obama.
