I do a lot of government work indirectly. It is a nightmare for my customers who are first tier, are honest and don't have a lobbyist. The hoops you must jump through... the paperwork... the slow pay... A lot of the attraction for the looter military contractors with lobbyists, is the notion that you can get away with charging $100 dollars for a screw driver because the bureaucrats are so inept. There would be more private sector opportunities if Washington left the money in private hands...

there are contractors who gave up other potential business for govt contracts who are producers who sweated it out. I'd like to say don't work for the govt! but sigh, right now it's where the work flow is mostly coming from in the economy. why? cuz they're PRINTING MONEY!! and continuing to enforce regulations that ties the private sector' hands behind their backs. idiots.

It is like working for the government without producing. Everyone laid off during the recent government shutdown, has been granted full back pay for doing nothing... Those laid off were deemed non-essential... So even when they are on the job how much of necessity do they do?
