So....a lender...loaning him $10,000 did nothing to earn the interest/profit? Surely, this person will gladly loan me $10,000 of his money - since it requires no effort on his part. I will pay him back....someday.

  I think the author is only defining "doing something" as physical labor, thus risk and sharing are not considering doing. It's a materialist way of viewing value.
