America's Enemies
Capitalism pays its own way and generates bounteous surplus, unlike any of the altruistic-collectivist “isms.” While vigilance is necessary against external enemies, the U.S. has tied its own hands behind its back, rejecting the principles and economic system that made it great in favor of malignant ideas that have never worked and never will. The past century has seen history’s most horrible demonstrations of the failure of might make right. Its proponents are well aware of those nightmare failures―their concern for humanity is as phony as their utopias. Their real aim is to be the ones holding the guns. Might does not make right, or quality medical care, or iphones, or Silicon Valley, or the world’s best universities, or the Internet, or our cornucopia of goods and services, or anything else that the people of this once free nation still take for granted. They may not be able to do so for much longer. If America is defeated, it will be defeated, like so many of the empires of old, from within. Good ideas must battle evil ones. A concluding good idea from Thomas Jefferson’ first inaugural address:
“...a wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned―that is the sum of good government.”

“You can argue with proponents of expanding government, or you can conclude from the voluminous history of its failures that anyone advocating more of the same is an idiot, a lying kleptocrat or a power monger and save your time for more important pursuits.” Robert Gore
“Reason is not automatic. Those who deny it cannot be conquered by it. Do not count on them. Leave them alone.”
Ayn Rand
