Hate that the movie and the possibility of sequels flopped at the box office. It may have had a better draw if ti was called "A Princess Of Mars" as was intended. SYFY snapped up the title with a low budget cheapie me dino saw on TV. The only good thing about it was that a lot of backdrops looked like a Frazetta paintings. . So Disney changed the title to John Carter. John Carter? Who is John Carter? Bet a lot of Millennials did not even bother to ask. Most do not know Edgar Rice Burroughs originally wrote the Tarzan stories. That recent The Legend Of Tarzan was a great movie. It was historically accurate about Belgians mistreating natives of the Congo too. Burroughs' Tarzan fought Nazis. Me dino read all those Tarzan books. My favorite was Tarzan At The Earth's Core. A buncha dinos were down there! Yay!
Well, if that cover wouldn't get a young Dino interested in reading, I don't know what would. I knew you liked sci-fi. If you have the time, give the Narnia series a chance. Every night my dad read a story to me out of a huge anthology of children's literature book, which I still have. I owe my dad for my love of reading.
Search engine says they are kids who mess around in a fantasy world. About the same goes for "Wrong Way Carson," who flew to Mars but crashed on an Edgar Rice Burroughs Venus. It was the cover art of Frank Frazetta who triggered a young dino's love of reading. As a kid I saw THIS in a store during a family vacation in the Smoky Mountains and I just had to have it~ https://www.google.com/search?q=frank... After reading a lot of Burroughs, I started to read a lot of science fiction.
You do indeed have a dangerous mind. A homemaker show on the radio does intrigue me, but alas, I should leave homemaking questions to Lady Catherine de Bourgh.
IMy dangerous allosaur mind suddenly imagines "The Doctor Suzanne43 Homemaker Show" on Fox Radio. Homemakers all over the coluntry call in with pertinent questions that need answering.
That's funny! My kitchen gets messy during the day because I do like to cook and bake, but before I go to bed I make sure that it is clean. I hate waking up to a mess and coming home to one.
You don't have it so bad. My friend's wife immediately "cleans" her kitchen sink if I get a cup of water and spill any water into it. I've never seen them cook anything; the immaculate kitchen is only for show. But she says, "I used to be OCD."
Yes, you are exactly right. I saw a t-shirt with that saying on it and laughed. My family thought that I should have the shirt. I told them that I wasn't quite that bad, and they rolled their eyeballs. Just because I get rather upset when my pencils and pens don't line up on my desk, and the clothes on my side of the closet have to be organized as to what they are and color doesn't mean I'm nuts....just organized.
If someone says they suffer from OCD, they are lying. One who truly suffers from OCD calls it CDO, because then the letters are in Alphabetical Order, As They Should Be.

Here's an easy one for you...Who are Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy Pevensie?
Who is John Galt?
Who is Huck Finn?
Who is Richard Sharpe?
Who is Conan the Barbarian?
Who is Carson of Venus?
