Have watched the DVD version of We the Living more than once. Very moving. Just a
great story from the great Ayn Rand. How I
wish SHE was among the We the Living today!!

This made me want to cry as I realized how many of our freedoms we are losing every day!

My wife and I watched We the living DVD version a few weeks ago. Know that the Italian movie is black and white and English subtitles were added later. At first I was thinking that would not allow me to appreciate the film. But once you are captured by the story, and you will be, you do not even notice. It is a very moving story of a young couples struggle to survive and try to escape the communists after the Russian revolution.
I did not know it was close to autobiographical, that makes the story even more potent.
It is clear to me that Ayn understood the wisdom of what the American founders attempted. She understood how in the name of fairness some people will do very cruel evil things and why we must be ever vigilant to keep those types from political power.
