"“Since Interstate 495 is clearly a federal roadway,” report our DOT sources, and “the federal government is now closed because of the crazy House of Representatives Republicans, it is within the purview of the federal government to add it to the list of government properties that are closed and may not be used by citizens,” claims Ryt adding that the I-95 and I-66 in Northern Virginia could also be closed."
If this is true (and I emphasize the 'if'), then we are witnessing the early stages of national martial law.
National Guard troops stopping civilian traffic based upon an internet threat? Then we are witnessing Day 1 of the end of the Republic.
been missing y'all. just busy with business stuff. life in the gulch is so much more pleasant... however, one must take care of loose ends before... fall is upon us and winter is coming.

Where did Gawker get that story? I’m not finding the original story. I’m finding links to Media Matters and other left-leaning propaganda outlets. The smear has gone viral.
you are awesome. gotta admit it sounds pretty fun, doesn't it? Thanks for even acknowledging my plea. NOW... if you do go... keep one hand on the wheel, one arm out the window with hand alternating between the victory sign and a thumbs up. if you can steer with your knee for a 20 secs or so,I think you might be able to manage some pics or video with your phone. also, take food. if you get to be a part of the trucker shutdown, you may be there for a while. if I were there,I'd ride shotgun for you... Good luck.... I'll keep my ears on.:)
Snort! Lol Well, if things are slowed down, you may be able to hold your phone/camera up whilst keeping eyes on the road. Make sure you write on your car that you support them. Otherwise they won't let you off at an exit. Bar soap works.
Trucks frighten me, but if I do get to check it out, I'll be sure to let you all know. Heck, I wish I could have my camera and catch some video or photos of it, but I'd be going it alone at Beltway speed, so not enough hands to spare... But then I don't know if they'll be circling the entire Beltway or what. I may not see anything, and while gas isn't $40 a gallon yet, I can hardly afford to spend it on a wild bantha chase involving truckers. Besides, so far the SSI has not furloughed me, so...Project X is on schedule, by the wa--aaaagh! Aaaagh! Gurgle... [Waterboarded, e-mail/Internet traffic downloaded, house droned in an 'accidental explosion'] There is no Project X. You read too much sci-fi.
Wow. I'm actually not far from the Beltway. I'd love to go take a look. Maybe by then I'll be furloughed from the State Science Institute and free to check it out...
And when did it become a crime to drive your truck while upset...?

"Can't beat me on the grade, you can't beat me on the grade!"
