I had some huge marker the other day, not sure of the bran..I had to trace some craft projects for the kids...I was in the hallway fumin' up the place. You'd think hallways would be well ventilated...but not so much. :) We just have colored targets in our shooting bag... lol

Did you know that the inhalation of relatively fresh marker fumes leads to....oh, rats, I just can't do that.
OK, how about this? Did you know that there used to be a brand of very large marker called "Magnum"? We, of course, put them in our shooting bags and used them to draw circles on targets, giggling off and on. Can't find them any more......

No, I really think you should drive this time; that marker is really digging into my thigh here [I guess I deserve it for wanting to use the great big kind].
    thanks anyway.

OK, smartie-pants. My big fat Websters gives me the following slightly annoying information [which is why you got a snappy salutation]:
    emend: to correct or improve
amend: to make better by some change
both are from the same Latin word, the prefix e- [out] + menda, mendum [a fault or blemish]
In the examples for amend, there is a sense merely of correction; in those for emend, there is a sense of a process of correction through scholarly debate.
I lean towards emend, just to show I'm smarter than they are, but either is correct.

point for 'emend', which is closely akin to 'amend'. Though I think 'amend' would have been the better verb in this case.

I once owned a maroon AMC Hornet.
Never mind. I don't know who Kato is....but you can drive if you want. Sorry it's not green.

    <falling off cliff> AAAAAAAaaaaarrrrrrhh!
I show my idiosyncrasies in radio listening again! Kato is the guy who drives the Black Beauty for The Green Hornet.
The Green Hornet was the crime-fighting hero of a radio show - called, strangely enough, The Green Hornet.

why do you think we were racing to the car? Fortunately, it was unlocked.
Unfortunately, we had the usual spat about who got to be Kato.

Do you think they'd let me close enough with my red marker to emend "Because of the Federal Government SHUTDOWN" to "Because the President is a mean and petty little man"?
