Eric Frank Russell wrote a wonderful little science fiction tale about an individualistic society.

One day it's visited by the decrepit remnants of an Earthly interstellar empire.

Yeah, I guess I forgot to include the title of the story. I really wish this place supported html tags. or its own custom tags?

"And Then There Were None" (by Eric Frank Russell, not Agatha Christie).

Just read a few paragraphs, the rest will have to wait until I get home tonight. Looks like a really good read, and am anxious to get to it. Guess I'm one of the fortunate federal employees, still getting paid (at least until Friday, after that who knows? We'll still be working but may not be getting paid)
